\u201cWell, this body has outlived his usefulness,\u201d Klaus said as they were walking back to Alaric\u2019s apartment. \u201cGood thing that Maddox and Greta are on their way back with my body.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Myriam looped her arm through Klaus\u2019 and sighed. \u201cI just made a couple more enemies.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Klaus let out a chuckle. \u201cLove, they\u2019ve always been your playthings. Your pets. Pets die.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI know, but\u2026 I\u2019ve grown to like these pets.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd they were all a means to an end,\u201d Klaus reminded her. \u201cAren\u2019t you sick of this little town yet?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She sighed again. \u201cIf you stick around for a while longer, you\u2019ll see that it\u2019s like a daytime television show. So much drama, so much intrigue\u2026 who needs television when you have Mystic Falls? I\u2019m merely sad that my friends are going to hate me now because of the fear mongering. You\u2019re the big bad wolf because you need to sacrifice people to break your curse. Elijah is the good guy because he wants to kill you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAh, what else is new? You\u2019ll be by my side when we break the curse, won\u2019t you?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOf course. With my invisible friends. I wouldn\u2019t allow anything to happen to you,\u201d she then let out a sigh. \u201cApparently our guest received a visitor today, and they handed her vervain.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWell, that\u2019s inconvenient.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat depends, my love,\u201d Myriam replied as she smiled up at him. \u201cWe could make her believe she can\u2019t be influenced anymore, but I could have her possessed, and she could do our bidding in any case.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou\u2019d need a mighty demon, Katarina won\u2019t bow down that easily.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI already had one on her. I love toying with that bitch,\u201d she replied as they took the stairs to Alaric\u2019s apartment and heard loud music blasting out of it. \u201cI can have her do so many things\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI can\u2019t believe they call this music,\u201d Klaus muttered as he opened the door to the apartment and let Myriam walk in before him. \u201cYou mind turning that down?\u201d He ordered Katerina, who rolled her eyes and did as she was told. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhy so grumpy?\u201d she asked. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis body has outlived its usefulness.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDo you want a drink?\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Myriam growled as she snatched the bottle from Katerina\u2019s hand and threw it against the wall before pinning the vampire down. \u201cListen to me, you little shit. I know. I know about your visitors this afternoon. Hand it over.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHand what over, exactly?\u201d Katerina asked innocently. \u201cI have no idea what you\u2019re talking about.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMyriam, that\u2019s enough, love. I don\u2019t care if she has vervain on her, she\u2019ll do as she\u2019ll be told in any case, won\u2019t she?\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Myriam scowled as she released Katerina and instructed the demon to listen to whatever Klaus wanted Katerina to do, and she wouldn\u2019t have any chance of not listening. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNow sit down, and shut up,\u201d Klaus told Katherine before he heard Maddox returning. Finally. He turned to look at the door. \u201cMaddox! Welcome back! You took your time!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou have a lot of luggage,\u201d Maddox replied as he was followed by some vampires who were carrying his luggage. And then Greta walked in. Myriam wanted to rip the witch\u2019 head off, but they needed her to put Klaus back into his own body. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGreta!\u201d Klaus greeted her warmly. \u201cFinally!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHello love,\u201d she widely smiled as she approached him, and Myriam was sitting on her hands to make sure she wouldn\u2019t act upon her impulses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHello.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNice body,\u201d Greta smiled up at him appreciatively. \u201cYou ready to get out of it?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Klaus hummed his answer with a slow nod. Myriam let out a low growl and used one of her spirits, not one of her demons, mark Greta\u2019s neck harshly, causing Greta to flinch and grab the back of her neck. \u201cWhat\u2019s wrong?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNothing. Ghosts. I don\u2019t know, it hurts,\u201d the witch let out a sigh as she grabbed her bag. \u201cWe need to prepare, talk amongst yourselves for a while.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Klaus gently pulled Myriam towards the open kitchen. \u201cSweetheart, I know you don\u2019t like her much,\u201d he said in a hushed voice. For Myriam to actively use one of her confined spirits rather than one of her demons meant she meant business. \u201cBut we need her. I need her to break the curse. Please leave her in one piece until after she\u2019s done what I want her to do? You think you will be able to control yourself until tomorrow night?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cStop flirting,\u201d she said as she pulled him closer to her and reached out to cup his balls. \u201cYou\u2019re in a human body now, until it\u2019s time to put you back in your own. I could hurt you so bad, you have no idea. You\u2019re mine.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMyriam.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cKlaus,\u201d she evenly said as she stared him down. \u201cYou\u2019re mine. And as soon as you\u2019re back in your body, you\u2019re coming home with me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMyriam, I—\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI could always ask the demon I put on you if you\u2019ve been nothing but honourable, but if you haven\u2019t been\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI have, love,\u201d he calmly replied as he tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear. \u201cNow please let go of Alaric\u2019s manhood, or I might start questioning your honour.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She narrowed her eyes at him as she lifted her hand to slap him, but Klaus caught her hand. \u201cCochon!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGreta, please hurry, my wife is impatient,\u201d he called out to his witch as he didn\u2019t look away from Myriam, loving the fire in her eyes. \u201cAnd I have to admit, so am I.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Greta let out a chuckle as she placed her candles. \u201cJust a while longer.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cElijah\u2019s been telling Elena everything about you and him and the curse,\u201d Myriam said as she looked at Klaus. \u201cShe undaggered him, the bitch. Why are doppelgangers always so predictable and devious?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Klaus shrugged. \u201cI\u2019ll deal with Elijah. He\u2019s simply not allowed to kill me when I\u2019m in transition.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Myriam sighed as she pulled her wrist back from him and turned to pour herself another drink. \u201cAnd let me guess, you\u2019re not interested in sex either until after your transition?\u201d She then turned to face him again. \u201cIf you say no, I\u2019ll be leaving right now.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat\u2019s not nice.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m not nice.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDon\u2019t be daft, you are very nice.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cUgh, I want to vomit,\u201d Katerina remarked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd we told you to shut your whore mouth!\u201d Myriam shot at her, forcing her demon to hurt Katerina a little for speaking up. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019re ready, Lord Klaus,\u201d Maddox spoke with respect in his voice towards his master as he didn\u2019t want to face the wrath of Myriam. \u201cWe can put you back in your own body now.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFinally!\u201d Myriam exclaimed as she pushed Klaus towards his own body that was still in the damn trunk. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maddox and Greta chanted for a while until the candles all lit up brightly. Myriam couldn\u2019t stand to be patient, and when Alaric gasped and fell to the ground after thinking Katerina was Elena, she rushed over to the trunk and opened it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Klaus walked out of the trunk, looked around and smiled brightly. \u201cNow, that\u2019s more like it!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Myriam flung herself around his neck, kissing him hard. \u201cThank God they didn\u2019t fuck up,\u201d she muttered into the kiss. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI have one more thing to do,\u201d he broke off the kiss and took her hand, gently squeezing it. \u201cThen I\u2019m all yours, I promise.\u201d Klaus then let go of her and shook Alaric awake. \u201cGood, you\u2019re awake. You\u2019re going to have a rest, and in the morning you will tell your friends that the ritual will happen today.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI will,\u201d Alaric said as he got to his feet and walked straight to bed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Klaus then turned to Greta and Maddox. \u201cTomorrow you\u2019ll acquire me the vampire and werewolf we\u2019ve picked out. Until then, you\u2019ll babysit our guest. I\u2019ll be back in the morning, I have a wife to please.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOf course,\u201d Greta and Maddox smiled widely. \u201cGood to have you back in your own body, Klaus.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

~o.O.o~<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI must say, you were right about Mystic Falls,\u201d Klaus said as he and Myriam walked through town followed by Greta and Maddox. The two witches had their mission, and Maddox, in particular, had gotten creative last night by throwing Carol Lockwood of the stairs so that Tyler would return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, there was a werewolf ready and waiting for Klaus in Myriam\u2019s basement, but even he agreed that that wolf would make a great hybrid. He looked strong. Well built. Lots of potential. \u201cI can see why you love it so much.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI don\u2019t love it, I love New Orleans, but the appeal is here. Small towns are almost like a time capsule,\u201d she replied as they strolled down main street together. The moment they had arrived at home the previous night, she had put on her wedding ring again. There was no need to hide anymore. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBut why are you dragging me with you to do something so\u2026 mundane?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat? Me quitting my job at the Mystic Grill?\u201d Myriam smiled up at him. \u201cWell, because I just know you want to cause some trouble, make some people shiver in their boots. Damon and Alaric are there. Pity drinking.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDamon. Right. Your friend.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think he wishes to be my friend anymore,\u201d she winked at him. \u201cWhich sucks, but it seems like the stories about you and Elijah\u2019s stories truly made you the big bad. Which, in association, makes me a bitch.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThey don\u2019t know you\u2019re my wife yet, do they?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo, just that I\u2019m on your side and not Elijah\u2019s. They think out of fear.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Klaus smirked then. \u201cLet\u2019s have some fun,\u201d he kissed the top of her head. \u201cYou go, I\u2019ll join you in a bit.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Myriam giggled as she headed inside the grill and found the manager. \u201cHey Dwayne,\u201d she greeted him with a smile. \u201cI\u2019m handing in my notice, effective immediately.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat? Why? You\u2019re the best we\u2019ve ever had!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Myriam shrugged. \u201cThat\u2019s bullshit. You should promote Matt, though. He\u2019s doing a great job. Keep my pay, put it back into the Grill. I know you\u2019re struggling.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dwayne sighed and nodded. \u201cWell, if you ever need a job\u2026 you\u2019re always welcome to return.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThanks, Dwayne,\u201d she said as she moved out of sight, observing her husband who had now walked up to Damon and Alaric.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGentlemen, why so glum?\u201d Klaus asked, causing Alaric to stand up straight and Damon looking over his shoulder. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cUgh,\u201d Damon sighed as he looked back at his drink. \u201cKlaus, I presume?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn the flesh,\u201d he smiled coyly before looking at Alaric. \u201cThanks for the loaner, mate.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Damon angrily got to his feet, trying to intimidate Klaus. \u201cAny reason you stopped by to say \u2018hi\u2019?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m told you and your brother fancy my doppelganger. Just thought I\u2019d remind you to do not do anything you\u2019ll regret.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Damon barked out a laugh. \u201cHa! Thanks for your advice,\u201d he said all smugly. \u201cDon\u2019t suppose I could talk you into a postponement by any chance, huh?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Klaus smiled then, shaking his head as he looked down at the bar for a moment. \u201cYou are kidding,\u201d he replied as he met Damon\u2019s eyes before looking over his shoulder to find Alaric. \u201cHe is kidding, right?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo, not really,\u201d Alaric replied stoically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI mean, come on, what\u2019s one more month in all the grand scheme of things?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLet me be clear,\u201d Klaus said calmly, turning to Damon and taking a step towards him. \u201cI have my vampire. I have my werewolf. I have everything I need. The ritual will happen tonight. So, if you want to live to see tomorrow, don\u2019t screw it up.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHi guys,\u201d Myriam said lightly as she moved between Damon and Klaus. \u201cHow\u2019s it going?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou and I need to talk,\u201d Damon told her sternly. \u201cElena told me what happened with Rose. Where the hell have you been?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cRight here,\u201d Myriam said with a shrug. \u201cIn town, helping my husband get situated, what do you think?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou\u2019re married?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI told you I was, didn\u2019t I?\u201d Myriam scratched the back of her head. \u201cOh, I must have neglected to say that. Some secrets are meant to be kept.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd why are you working with him, of all people?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat? With Klaus?\u201d Myriam laughed then. \u201cI\u2019m sorry Damon, I don\u2019t know what scary stories Elijah must have told you, or Rose, or Katherine, but Klaus is not the bad guy in this situation. He merely wants his curse to be removed so he can be truly free. What\u2019s so bad about that?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPeople are going to die, Myriam!\u201d Damon shot at her. \u201cAnd I thought you said you\u2019d keep Elena safe!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFrom everyone who\u2019d come after her and Elijah, yes. I\u2019m not allowing Elijah to use Elena for the ritual so he can kill Klaus,\u201d Myriam said, shaking her head. \u201cI told her to listen, I guess she needs her ears cleaned or something. I never said I\u2019d save her from Klaus. And vampires can be easily created, so what\u2019s the big deal?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat\u2019s the— this isn\u2019t you talking!\u201d Damon cried out. \u201cDid he compel you?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo?\u201d Myriam said confused as she pulled vervain out of her pocket. \u201cI drink vervain, and I wear it on me as protection from Elijah. It also means that this fella behind me can\u2019t compel me. Been there, done that.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPeople are going to die, Myriam!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo,\u201d Myriam said sternly. \u201cA supernatural doppelganger is. A vampire is. A werewolf is. They\u2019re not humans. I value human life as much as anyone else, but once you\u2019re supernatural doesn\u2019t mean you can\u2019t die.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMyriam, in particular, has a hatred towards werewolves, don\u2019t you, love?\u201d Klaus said playfully. \u201cAnd witches, but werewolves are the worst.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHa!\u201d Damon pointed out. \u201cIf Klaus turns, he\u2019ll become a hybrid. A werewolf and a vampire!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m not stupid, Damon,\u201d Myriam replied with a sigh. \u201cNothing will change, only that he\u2019ll be a hybrid. He\u2019ll always be the man I married, no matter what changes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alaric spat out his drink, and Damon\u2019s jaw just about fell on the floor. \u201cExcuse you?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cKlaus and I have been married for over 300 years. Every time I was in Mystic Falls was for him. Especially after Elena was born. Everything I did, was for him. And now that he\u2019s here\u2026\u201d Myriam smiled brightly as she looked at her husband with pride. \u201cI can\u2019t wait to remain by his side for the rest of our lives now. We\u2019ve spent far too long apart.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou\u2019re making me sick,\u201d Damon scowled. \u201cYou\u2019re better than this.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDoes your opinion of me really change because I\u2019m Klaus\u2019 wife? And that I\u2019d do anything for him? I\u2019m still the same person you came to know, Damon.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYeah, no. Goodbye, Myriam.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou\u2019re such a child, Damon,\u201d Myriam huffed as she put her arm through Klaus\u2019 and followed him out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLove, I—\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDon\u2019t waste your breath,\u201d she sighed. \u201cI kinda knew this would happen. It hurts, but hey, so did him turning because of Katerina. His\u2026 exposure to other vampires is limited.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWould you like me to kill him?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIf anyone kills him, it\u2019s going to be me,\u201d Myriam said grumpily. \u201cCome on, you\u2019re buying me an ice cream before we return to the preparations for tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDo you think we can trust Katerina in calling out dear Aunt Jenna?\u201d Klaus mused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cUnder the threat of death? Sure!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That evening, Myriam hid in the Quarry. She could oversee just about everything in the area, and she brought a bag of popcorn and a bottle of wine to entertain herself with. One false move by anyone and she\u2019d snap their heads off their torsos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ritual went ahead as planned. As expected. With the backups. Even with Stefan showing up. When Bonnie showed up and started to hurt her husband, Myriam sent her demons over to weaken the witch so she\u2019d stop with the spells. Myriam could have come down to kill Bonnie, but Myriam knew better than to attack someone as powerful as her and Klaus was slightly more durable even in this weakened state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His cries of agony, however, hurt her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was about to step in when Elijah pushed his hand inside Klaus\u2019 torso. \u201cNo!\u201d She cried out before rushing over and trying to stop Elijah from killing Klaus. \u201cDon\u2019t! He\u2019s your brother!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cStay out of this, Myriam,\u201d Elijah slapped her face, pushing her away from him. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t bury them at sea!\u201d Klaus sputtered, gasping between his words. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat?\u201d Elijah questioned him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTheir bodies are safe. If you kill me, you shall never find them.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cElijah!\u201d Stefan called out to him. \u201cDon\u2019t listen to him!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cElijah,\u201d Klaus said in barely a whisper. \u201cI can take you to them. I give you my word. Brother.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bonnie took a step forward as she looked at Elijah. \u201cDo it, and I\u2019ll take you both out.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou\u2019ll die,\u201d Elijah told her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI don\u2019t care.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elijah sneered as he seemed to think about his options before looking at Stefan and Bonnie. \u201cI\u2019m sorry.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo!\u201d Bonnie and Stefan chorused as they lunged forward but Elijah was faster with taking Klaus away, leaving Myriam by herself. \u201cYou bitch!\u201d Bonnie yelled at Myriam before she started to shoot pain infliction spells at the vampire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBonnie, no,\u201d Stefan stopped her. \u201cShe\u2019s got nothing to do with this.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou heard Damon! She\u2019s with Klaus!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat doesn\u2019t mean that she\u2019s a bad person, now release her. We need to go back for Elena.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bonnie reluctantly released Myriam, who nodded a thanks to Stefan and ran off in the direction she saw Elijah run off to. Myriam was stopped by Elijah then, who had a heap of clothes next to him. \u201cLeave,\u201d he said easily. \u201cI\u2019ll take care of Niklaus from here.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Myriam cocked her head for a moment before she scoffed. \u201cArrogant prick. You haven\u2019t changed a bit. If you truly cared for your brother, you wouldn\u2019t have schemed behind his back. Just fuck off to whence you came.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou know what surprises me?\u201d Elijah asked as he finished cleaning his hands with his handkerchief. \u201cThat you\u2019re still alive.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd you know what surprises me?\u201d Myriam countered as she used all of her demons to subdue him. As he lay on the ground, stiffened, she stood over him with a smirk on her face. \u201cYou always think you scare me, but trust me, Elijah, you don\u2019t. Now stay down. I\u2019ll take care of his happy little accidents on the way. I\u2019ll release you when he returns.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Myriam followed Klaus around for two days and was there when he returned back to normal, completely naked. Too bad she\u2019d brought his clothes with her. \u201cWelcome back,\u201d she smiled at him. \u201cYou\u2019ve been busy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat was amazing,\u201d Klaus said, remembering the experience. \u201cHow long has it been?\u201d He asked as he got to his feet to get dressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Myriam thought for a moment and then smiled. \u201cAnd he thinks he gets to walk the earth still.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cExactly,\u201d Klaus winked at her. \u201cWe\u2019ll have him reunited with our family shortly. And I\u2019ll have my Ripper back.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat do you mean?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAh, you\u2019ll find out shortly. I think you\u2019ll love what I have in mind,\u201d Klaus said all mysterious. \u201cNow, undo what you did to Elijah, it\u2019s time to catch up with my brother, and introduce him again to Katerina. Vervain or not, she\u2019s still compelled not to leave until I say so.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cJust promise me you won\u2019t push me away.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFine!\u201d Myriam shot back at him. \u201cElijah can wait,\u201d she then said as she pulled Klaus down into the bushes. \u201cYou\u2019re mine now.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She remained quiet and by Klaus\u2019 side as he promised Elijah that he\u2019d reunite him with their siblings shortly, and headed back to Alaric\u2019s apartment where Katerina still resided, and she had an unexpected guest. \u201cWell, you just keep popping up everywhere, aren\u2019t you?\u201d Klaus asked Stefan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI need your help. For my brother.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWell, whatever it is, it\u2019s gonna have to wait a tick,\u201d Klaus replied. \u201cYou see, I have an obligation to my brother that requires my immediate attention,\u201d he added before passing Stefan to get something. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou understand how important family is or you wouldn\u2019t be here,\u201d Elijah said as he approached Stefan. \u201cMy brother gave me his word that he would reunite me with my own.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd so I shall,\u201d Klaus said before plunging the silver dagger into him, causing Elijah to cry out in pain and fall to the floor. Myriam let out a rejoicing sound as she poked Elijah\u2019s desiccated body with her foot. Klaus then grabbed Stefan and pushed him up the wall. \u201cNow, what to do with you?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNothing too painful, Klaus,\u201d Myriam told him with a slight giggle as she kicked Elijah again. \u201cHe did save me from the wrath of a Bennett witch.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Klaus pushed a stake through Stefan\u2019s stomach. \u201cOh, well\u2026 too late.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stefan fell against Klaus and gasped for breath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDo you feel that?\u201d Klaus whispered. \u201cIt\u2019s scraping against your heart. The slightest little movement and you\u2019re dead.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe\u2019s just trying to help his brother,\u201d Katerina piped up, a sudden braveness overcoming her. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe witches said you had a cure,\u201d Stefan managed to speak out before he looked at Klaus. \u201cMake me a deal. Just give me the cure, and I\u2019ll do whatever you want.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Klaus pulled out the stake, and Stefan dropped to the ground with a groan. \u201cOh, right, your brother was bitten by a wolf,\u201d he mused. \u201cTrouble is, Stefan, I don\u2019t know if you\u2019d be any good to me the way you are now,\u201d he said as he poured himself a glass of human blood. \u201cYou\u2019re just shy of useless.\u201d He took a sip before moving over to Stefan and squatted down before him. \u201cI heard about this one vampire, crazy bloke, always on and off the wagon for decades.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was then when Myriam realised which Ripper Klaus had referred to earlier. \u201cKlaus, no.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s alright, sweetheart, I won\u2019t let any harm come over him, I promise.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou can\u2019t, he\u2019s\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cJust the way I want him to be\u2026 if he\u2019s off the wagon, of course,\u201d he smiled at her before looking back at Stefan. \u201cWhen this bloke was off the wagon, he was magnificent. 1917, he went into Monterey and wiped out an entire immigrant village\u2026 a true Ripper,\u201d he got to his feet as he took another sip of his blood. \u201cSound familiar?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI haven\u2019t been that way in a very long time,\u201d Stefan sighed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWell, that\u2019s the vampire I can make a deal with. That is the kind of talent I can use when I leave town. Katerina, come here,\u201d he said sweetly. When she gave her his hand, he bit into it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo!\u201d Katerina whined. \u201cNo!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Klaus then bit in his own wrist and fed her his blood, curing the bite instantly. \u201cYou want your cure?\u201d He asked Stefan as he wiped his mouth. \u201cThere it is.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYour blood is the cure.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGotta love Mother Nature,\u201d Klaus smiled as he put a hand on Stefan\u2019s shoulder. \u201cNow, let\u2019s talk, you and I.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They sat down at the bar and Myriam poured herself a glass of wine. She was in two minds about this. She had recently saved Mystic Falls from the beginning Ripper, but to have Stefan go all out? She was afraid of what would happen. Luckily, Klaus could compel him to behave, but still. She still didn\u2019t like Stefan for what he did to Damon, and for what he did to her Zak, but did he really deserve this? Would he be able to come back from this after Klaus would release him from his deal? Myriam finished her glass and poured herself another while Klaus used a knife to put some of his blood in a vial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou want the cure, how about a decade-long bender?\u201d Klaus asked Stefan. \u201cYou know, I have big plans for you when we leave this town.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m not like that anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWell, that\u2019s too bad. You would have made one hell of a wingman,\u201d he said as he started to pour his blood down the drain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWait,\u201d Stefan quickly said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNow that\u2019s more like it. Join me for a drink, Stefan,\u201d he slid the big bag of blood across the counter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYeah, I\u2019m not sticking around for this,\u201d Myriam said as she snatched Klaus\u2019 bottle. \u201cRelease Katerina, she and I are going to bring this to Damon and then she\u2019s free to go.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDo it, Klaus,\u201d Myriam told him, eager to get out of the apartment as she knew what Klaus was going to do, feed the Ripper, and she really didn\u2019t want to see that with her own eyes. \u201cAnd once you\u2019re done playing, you can join me at our home.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He rolled his eyes at her before motioning Katherine over to release her. \u201cBring this vial to Damon, and leave. I\u2019d hurry if I were you, he might not have long.\u201d Once Myriam and Katherine were out, he turned back to Stefan. \u201cWomen, right? Drink up, I\u2019ve got more for you!\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Myriam didn\u2019t want any part in \u2018Stefan and Klaus\u2019 Awesome Adventures\u2019 in finding a werewolf pack. Klaus no doubt was revelling in his freedom, something Myriam had hoped he\u2019d do with her, but he instead spent the time with Stefan the Ripper. And Stefan the Ripper hurt her heart. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She couldn\u2019t stay in Mystic Falls. She needed everyone to decompress and not be so\u2026 hateful. Returning to New Orleans without Klaus or any Original vampire would likely mean death. So, instead, Myriam went to Disney World. She then spent a few weeks in Hawaii, before heading back to Europe for a few weeks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oh, Klaus wasn\u2019t too happy about it, but Myriam didn\u2019t want to spend weeks and weeks surrounded by him and Stefan having fun together. Besides, he was looking for werewolves, and she hated those. So. Much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She found a wolf pack in a small village in Indonesia and set their town on fire. She was fast, but not fast enough as a wolf had bitten her, and she didn\u2019t have Klaus\u2019 blood on her. Frustrated, she sent him a text to meet up and he sent Chicago. Great. She had to endure a very long flight to get the cure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She hated wolves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By the time she landed in Chicago, she felt as if her skin was infested by ants, crawling underneath every layer and she wanted it to stop. Klaus was waiting for her as she got off the plane. \u201cDid you learn your lesson?\u201d Klaus said lightly. \u201cYou do not play with wolves all by yourself.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDo we need to do this now?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWell\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Myriam growled. \u201cIf you want to get rid of me so bad\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDon\u2019t be ridiculous,\u201d Klaus huffed as he bit his hand and offered it to her. \u201cJust promise you\u2019ll stay? I\u2019m about to get Rebekah out of her box.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Myriam drank what she needed, she could feel his blood mix with her own and rid her body of the wolf infection. \u201cRebekah?\u201d she asked as she wiped her mouth. \u201cWhy?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDo you remember her necklace? It was our Mother\u2019s.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYeah\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGloria needs it so she can tell me how I can make hybrids without killing more wolves.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Myriam took her bag and hit him over the head with it. \u201cYou know it yourself! Just use your brain!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She let out a frustrated groan. \u201cWhat was used to create you?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe blood of a doppelganger.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cRight. And what was used to bind your wolfy side?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd what was used to unbind that curse?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cA freaking doppelganger. Now, tell me, you\u2019re something unnatural, what will you need to balance out the fact that you\u2019re both a freaking wolf and a vampire?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDing ding! You win the laundry machine!\u201d Myriam cheered. \u201cNo need for that witch or undaggering Rebekah. Besides, the necklace you seek was in Elena\u2019s possession, Stefan gave it to her. I guess Stefan has it back or Jeremy has it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat?!\u201d Klaus fumed. \u201cAnd it wasn\u2019t his to give!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Myriam shrugged. \u201cDon\u2019t ask me how he got it. I don\u2019t know that,\u201d she replied as she looped her arm through his. \u201cSo, why Chicago?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFor the witch, of course,\u201d Klaus sighed, shaking his head. \u201cBut now I won\u2019t have to bother. I am going to kill her, though. And we\u2019ll have some fun with Stefan\u2026 and Rebekah. You see\u2026 back in 1922\u2026 I met Stefan Salvatore here in Chicago, and he was magnificent.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLet me guess,\u201d she sighed. \u201cHe fell in love with Rebekah, so you daggered her and compelled him.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMikael was in town, working with the Chicago Police Department. I had to think quick on my feet.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAh.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBut wouldn\u2019t it be nice if I told Stefan to remember when I produce Rebekah?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou\u2019re evil,\u201d Myriam nodded. \u201cDo it. You are making him a Ripper again after I detoxed him for the safety of Mystic Falls and your doppelganger is a good punishment for him after all the shit he\u2019s done in the past. And torturing him is always a good thing. Rebekah will get over it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She quietly followed Klaus when he went to fetch Stefan and undaggered Rebekah, before following them to Stefan\u2019s old apartment. She was fascinated with the stories Klaus told her about Stefan, how he had encountered him before, and how he knew how Stefan operated as Ripper. Myriam knew that Klaus was disappointed, he couldn\u2019t make hybrids without a doppelganger, they\u2019d likely had to wait for another 500 years for him to be able to do so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When Klaus and Stefan left the apartment, Myriam lingered, because she wanted to know more. She wanted to read every single name that Stefan had written down, not out of guilt, but because they were trophies. Reading their names reminded him of the kill, the thrill of the hunt and it was disturbing. \u201cAlright, you can come out now, Elena,\u201d Myriam sighed as she pulled open the bookcase. \u201cKlaus may not have heard your heartbeat or smelled you, but I did. So Bonnie managed to save you? Impressive!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When Elena lunged at her with a knife, Myriam stepped aside and let the girl trip. \u201cOh please,\u201d she rolled her eyes at her before taking a step into the closet and was shocked to see the seemingly endless list of names. She wasn\u2019t shy when it came to killing, but she always had a reason, a good reason, when she killed. This list of names were innocent people, killed for shits and giggles by a demented maniac. \u201cFuck me,\u201d she muttered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It wasn\u2019t just a list of the people he killed in Chicago, but his father\u2019s name was on it, too. Same as Zak Salvatore. So he was proud of killing them both? \u201cJesus fuck, Elena, and you chose to love him?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat\u2019s not Stefan,\u201d she said quickly as she got to her feet. \u201cNot the Stefan that I know.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat\u2019s not the real Stefan,\u201d Myriam said as she exited the closet with another bottle of 1918 Single Malt and uncapped it before drinking almost half of it in one go. \u201cNo, feeding off of animals is safer, but it\u2019s not natural to him.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou can cure him, right? You helped him before?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhy would I? Do you honestly think that Stefan can face you now that you know about his dirty little secret? I don\u2019t see him returning to Mystic Falls, at least not on his own accord,\u201d Myriam replied as she sat down on the dirty couch. \u201cI helped him once, but that was out of my own interests and those of Klaus. Now? I don\u2019t need to. I don\u2019t want to.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou said you\u2019d keep me safe.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat was before the ritual. Now everything is free game,\u201d Myriam shrugged as she took another sip from the bottle. \u201cHello Damon,\u201d she said as she didn\u2019t move. \u201cGood job leaving her alone for Klaus and Stefan to find.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYeah, well, believe me, I had an hour to realize what a bad idea it was to leave Elena alone. I processed it and moved on,\u201d Damon replied. \u201cShouldn\u2019t you be hanging out with the dastardly duo?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m free to go wherever I please. I told Klaus I wanted to linger for a bit, to see his list with my own eyes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPainful, huh?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe\u2019s a psychopath.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe\u2019s my brother.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNope,\u201d Myriam said as she set the bottle down on the table and walked over to Elena. \u201cI came to get something back, something that belonged to my family and wasn\u2019t Stefan\u2019s to give.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elena took a step back and clutched her necklace. \u201cNo, you can\u2019t take it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHand it over, or I\u2019ll break your hand,\u201d Myriam threatened her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMyriam!\u201d Damon warned her. \u201cLeave Elena alone.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHand it over, Elena. I won\u2019t hesitate to kill you for it. Or Damon,\u201d she said as she threw the advancing Damon into the nearest wall. \u201cNow. Give it to me, and I\u2019ll keep mum about your status to Klaus for as long as I can.\u201d She held out her hand with a small smile on her lips. \u201cI know it\u2019s filled with vervain, so don\u2019t you worry about that.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elena sighed as she pulled off her necklace and gave it to Myriam, who immediately put it in a bag and into her pocket. \u201cGood girl. Now, might I suggest you leave Chicago? If Klaus finds out you\u2019re alive, you\u2019re dead.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m here to save Stefan,\u201d Elena said defiantly. \u201cYou can\u2019t stop me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAh, but now that you\u2019re without your protection\u2026\u201d Myriam smirked as she pat her pants pocket. \u201cI could. Wake up, Elena. If Klaus knows you\u2019re still alive, he\u2019ll want you to become his pet for your blood. Stefan doesn\u2019t want you anymore. Not now he\u2019s like this. He won\u2019t come back that easily from this like last time. You can never cure a Ripper, only manage the symptoms.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOh, way to crush her hope, Myriam.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd you\u2019re foolish to help her!\u201d Myriam shot at him. \u201cKlaus won\u2019t hesitate to kill you, Damon, if you continue this path.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWell you try and stop me,\u201d he said as he moved between Myriam and Elena. \u201cYou got what you came for, now you can join your husband again.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Myriam narrowed her eyes at him. \u201cI might just kill Stefan.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo!\u201d Elena cried out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Myriam let out a snort as she left the apartment, joining Klaus and Stefan in the storage facility where Klaus was keeping the rest of their family. It was so hard to see Kol\u2019s coffin and not to open it. Then again, she could open it and see how he was doing, maybe plant a new demon on him to keep him company in his slumber. Just a peek. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So that\u2019s what she did. He was laying so handsomely in his coffin, a small smile on his face. She gently caressed his desiccated face to release the demon who had kept him company for so long and for a second there, she could feel Kol stir ever so slightly. \u201cShh\u2026 you\u2019re getting a new one,\u201d she whispered before attaching a storyteller to him. \u201cSoon. I\u2019ve not forgotten about you, Mon Chou.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The whole Stefan\/Rebekah reunion was a downer, she had anticipated more sparks, but it was quite civil. Until the necklace came up and both siblings were freaking out. \u201cRelax,\u201d Myriam rolled her eyes as she gently closed Kol\u2019s coffin and tossed the pouch to Klaus. \u201cCareful, Stefan put vervain in it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhere did you get that?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019ve seen it on Elena\u2019s neck ever since Stefan put it on her. So\u2026 after the sacrifice, I stole it from her, because she\u2019s dead, and it\u2019s not hers,\u201d Myriam said simply as she looked at Stefan. \u201cBad puppy. It didn\u2019t belong to you.\u201d She then looked at Klaus. \u201cAnd you already know what you need to create hybrids. You can\u2019t get it, so why still go to that witch?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cShe might know of another way,\u201d Klaus kissed her cheek. \u201cThank you, love, for always being so thorough.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou know very well there isn\u2019t another way.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd who did you ask? Your spirits? Your demons?\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou\u2019re going to see Gloria, aren\u2019t you? You believe her but not me? She\u2019s a voodoo queen, Klaus. She\u2019s going to tell you exactly what I just told you,\u201d Myriam said before she was quiet for a moment as she looked at Stefan. \u201cWell. That changes everything,\u201d she said as she walked to him, not moving her eyes off of him. \u201cStefan\u2019s been hiding something. Not sure what\u2026 but\u2026\u201d she snapped Stefan\u2019s neck and watched him drop to the floor. \u201cI suppose you\u2019ll have to return to Mystic Falls to find out.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe\u2019s my toy!\u201d Klaus whined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe wasn\u2019t completely your servant, Klaus. Besides, Katerina is in town, wouldn\u2019t want him to wander off and start forming an evil little plan now, would you? Besides, now that he has his full memories, he\u2019ll remember why you ran in the first place.\u201d Myriam then sighed. \u201cRebekah, don\u2019t sit on your brother\u2019s coffin, he doesn\u2019t deserve that.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI need new clothes,\u201d Rebekah said as she got to her feet and dusted herself off. \u201cAre you coming with me, Myriam? Nik can clean up this mess himself. You need to tell me all about this era,\u201d she said as she looped her arm through Myriam\u2019s. \u201cWhat did I miss?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While Rebekah was complaining about the short hemline of skirts and dressed in this era, Myriam filled her in on the most significant changes. She was used to that now, being the one to fill in the undaggered siblings about what they\u2019d missed. And of course, while Rebekah went to get a new wardrobe, so did Myriam. Or at least a shirt or two.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They travelled back to Mystic Falls, and Myriam decided to let the two siblings play around with Stefan and the Scoobies and went home. There was no doubt that Klaus was going to be angry with her for keeping quiet about the Doppelganger\u2019s status, but it was likely that Stefan was going to get the brunt of it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Klaus was so focused on making his hybrids that he had mostly ignored her. His wife. The one person who truly stood with him for the last 300 years. And since she wasn\u2019t allowed to undagger Kol as Klaus was afraid that he\u2019d sabotage Klaus\u2019 plans, she\u2019d have to think of other ways to entertain herself. Of course, she could go back to New Orleans and run her club, but she had missed Klaus so much that she\u2019d rather stick around for a while longer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Myriam took the peace and quiet as time to release some of her long-serving demons and to summon others to take their place in the talismans. For some reason, Katerina had found a way to block most of the demon that Myriam had put on her. She could see some images, but there was no sound. Katerina was up to something, and Myriam felt that it could be big. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cUgh,\u201d Rebekah said as she walked into the house. \u201cNiklaus is hanging out with his new favourite toy, ordered Stefan to turn his emotions off and look after the Doppelganger. Nik actually left me here on my own! What can I do in this dull town?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd a hello to you too, Rebekah,\u201d Myriam said as she cleaned up her little trinkets. \u201cYou could get a job?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEw, no.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOr what about school? I know you love going to school and you\u2019ve missed out on a lot of things, so\u2026\u201d Myriam suggested. \u201cThat way you can keep an eye on Stefan for Klaus, and also on Elena and her friends.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rebekah seemed to think for a moment and then smiled brightly. \u201cBrilliant idea! I\u2019d make an amazing cheerleader, don\u2019t you think?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI suppose you will,\u201d Myriam smiled at her. \u201cThere\u2019s this annoying blonde vampire who could do with being taken a few notches down. Want me to help to enrol you?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNah, I\u2019ll just compel, like I always do.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Myriam shrugged then. \u201cFine,\u201d she said with a sigh. \u201cPick any room you want, except mine. No wild parties, no bodies left in the house.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou\u2019re not my mother.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo, but this is my house, so you live by my rules.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI thought this was our house?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Myriam let out a snort as she walked out of the room. \u201cHave fun in school, Rebekah, the first day of school is tomorrow!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYeah, you know what?\u201d Rebekah said as she grabbed her bag. \u201cYou\u2019re no fun. I\u2019ll go and hang out with the Salvatores!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDon\u2019t let the door hit you on the way out!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat is wrong with you, Myriam? You\u2019re usually a lot more fun than this!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat is wrong? Oh, I don\u2019t know, Rebekah. I\u2019m just pissed at your brother for ignoring me and most of my suggestions to make things a lot smoother for him after everything that I have done for him!\u201d Myriam shot at her. \u201cI had this house built 150 years ago, I had it renovated before I moved back in. I made sure he had everything he needed to break his damn curse, and all I get is a few quickies and not even a \u2018see you later\u2019 as he toddled off with his new pet!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSounds to me you need a break, love,\u201d Rebekah said bored. \u201cDo what you do best, disappear. You know as well as I do that Nik loves a good hunt.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Myriam sighed. \u201cYeah, but when will he do that? He\u2019s too busy creating hybrids, and he won\u2019t stop until the Doppelganger is dead.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe will come to find you, eventually,\u201d Rebekah replied with a shrug. \u201cYou know Nik. You\u2019ve always known that he was an egotistical and selfish bastard. You could as well divorce him.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGet out of my house, Rebekah,\u201d Myriam said in a low, threatening voice. \u201cIf you know what\u2019s good for you, you leave, now.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYep,\u201d Rebekah nodded as she headed for the door for the final time. \u201cYou\u2019re definitely no fun.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

~o.O.o~<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the next few weeks, Myriam bunkered down in her home. She had one of her servants get groceries, the other blood bags, and she remained in her home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oh, she knew exactly what was going on. Bonnie had opened the door to the Other Side when she brought Jeremy back to life. The Original Witch opened it wider, ghosts were appearing all over town and with the Tomb vampires back and hungry for revenge on the founding families, Rebekah had to hand over her mother\u2019s necklace to Bonnie so Bonnie could close the door again. Fix things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elena had summoned Lexi to help her with Stefan, but of course, she wasn\u2019t strong enough to see it through by herself, and things were just going to go so horribly that Myriam didn\u2019t even want to leave her house. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Much to her own horror, her mother showed herself to her. Myriam pretended not to see Veronique as she tried to find out how it was possible for her mother to reveal herself to her. Veronique had only been in France and Italy, never in Mystic Falls. She had died in Nice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI never understood why you decided to run with vampires, mon petit,\u201d her mother had spoken. \u201cThey\u2019re unnatural, they can\u2019t be controlled.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was spouting all the stuff Myriam wasn\u2019t willing to hear. Because they were lies. When Myriam finally discovered how her mother was with her, she took the locket that held her mother\u2019s ashes and threw it in the fire to destroy it. Once her mother was gone, she went through all of her stuff to make sure she didn\u2019t have anything related to her mother or Gaia or anyone else she\u2019d spend time within the past. She made sure that everything she owned, had been cleansed by her after acquiring it. It made sense her old lockets were tainted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Katerina had successfully resurrected Mikael. Myriam suspected as much when her demon managed to send a flash image of a desiccated Mikael in his coffin a day before. There was no doubt that Mikael was being drawn to Mystic Falls by the Scoobies so they could kill Klaus. But Klaus was long gone and how were they going to draw him back? Likely with some shenanigans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Myriam decided to let her fear push her anger towards her husband aside and called him. \u201cHey, where are you?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNowhere near Mystic Falls, why aren\u2019t you with me?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBecause you left Rebekah and me behind when Mikael\u2019s name was dropped, you moron!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMy apologies, love.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYeah, right,\u201d Myriam huffed. \u201cAnyway\u2026 Katerina found Mikael and figured out how to wake him. He\u2019s in Mystic Falls now. There\u2019s no doubt that you\u2019ll receive a call from your loyal lapdog to come back for some reason. Just know that they want to kill you and will have Mikael to do it, likely with help from Katerina.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd why aren\u2019t you taking care of this?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBecause if you think that I\u2019m leaving my sanctuary that is my house right now, you\u2019re insane. Mikael scares the shit out of me, thanks to you. Even with all my pets, I\u2019m pretty sure he\u2019d be able to get to me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Klaus laughed then. \u201cAlright love, I\u2019ll play along with everyone. I have amassed an army in the short time that I\u2019ve been gone.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSure, but do account for the fact that they\u2019re normal hybrids and not an Original hybrid? Mikael can compel them.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019ll come back when I have a good plan, love, thank you. Will you join me in destroying Mikael?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo. Because I\u2019m still pissed off at you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat did I do?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd if you have to ask me that question, you\u2019re an asshole. Use your brain,\u201d Myriam angrily replied as she disconnected the phone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Klaus came back in town two days later, her demon on him alerted her on that. She wanted the demon to keep Klaus safe, not to allow Klaus to lose his cool when confronted with Mikael and she sent a little bit of her fear along with the demon so Klaus could feel what she felt, in a more moderate dosage seeing as Klaus was fearful of Mikael on his own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was there in spirit, through her connection to the demon and she was so proud of Klaus for standing up to Mikael and killing him. He brought home Mikael\u2019s ashes and sought comfort, release, in having sex with Myriam, who was still pissed at him, but she never turned down sex with him. Not when they both needed it so badly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next day, Myriam woke up when the demon she put with Kol woke her up, telling her that Kol\u2019s body was on the move, and was surrounded by Elijah, Finn, and Esther. Still, all boxed but in the back of a truck. \u201cKlaus,\u201d she said as she shook him awake, her face pale as a sheet. \u201cKlaus, wake up!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFive more minutes\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWake up!\u201d she slapped his arm, hard. \u201cSomething\u2019s wrong. Kol\u2019s no longer close.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat! I wanted to release our siblings from their slumber today!\u201d They quickly got dressed, and Klaus took her to the storage containers where he was keeping the coffins. \u201cRebekah, where are you? Pick up the phone, darling, daddy\u2019s dead. It\u2019s time for a family reunion,\u201d he said as he left his sister a voicemail. Upon hanging up, his phone rang again. \u201cStefan! Miss me already?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Myriam didn’t have to strain to hear Stefan’s voice. “I’m just calling to thank you for my freedom.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I like to believe that I’m a man of my word. More or less,” Klaus said as they passed a few containers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The thing is, it came at too high of a price. You took everything from me, Klaus.”<\/em> Myriam had a funny feeling that Stefan had something to do with taking Kol, and that the reason why she couldn’t communicate well with that demon she’d put on him was Katerina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Katerina and Stefan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Let bygones be bygones. Trust me, resentment gets old.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“You know what never gets old? Revenge.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Klaus opened the container, revealing an empty space. “No!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“What the ever loving fuck, Stefan?!” Myriam screeched upon seeing the empty space. She could feel it lingering with the spirit of Kol, Elijah and the others, so they were there, but now they were not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Ah, what’s the matter? Missing something?”<\/em> Stefan asked lightly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“What are you doing?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I’m just enjoying my freedom.”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I will kill you and everyone you have ever met,” Klaus threatened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“You do that, and you will never see your family again,”<\/em> Stefan said calmly. “I wonder, Klaus, for someone who’s been a step ahead of everyone for 1000 years, were you prepared for this?”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Klaus hung up the phone and fought himself from throwing it against the container. “He took my family!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Myriam growled. “He took my best friend! Don’t worry, mon Loulou, I will get them back for us. I promise.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“He just said-“<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“He said that if you’d kill everyone, you’d never see your family again. He never mentioned me,” Myriam replied angrily. “Yet another man who’s forgetting about my existence!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
