Chapter 20<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bella felt all giddy when Hayley told her and Kol to go to the scrapyard and start compelling people to leave or work the machinery for them while Hayley went to fetch the still enthralled Rosalie. She had known this moment was coming and all the work she and Kol had done had lead up to this but to actually do it was exciting, she could feel the adrenaline rushing through her body and she couldn\u2019t stop smiling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWould you just stop?\u201d Kol laughed. \u201cNik will find out and stop us, you know.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThere\u2019ll be three of us and one of him. He\u2019s a hybrid but we can snap his neck and continue what we\u2019re doing,\u201d Bella said as she jumped around at the edge of the car crusher. \u201cThey\u2019re mine. Not his. Besides, he didn\u2019t want me to kill one today because Hayley and Hope were returning and now she\u2019s offering one up. Win.\u201d Bella stopped jumping and looked at Kol after she realized something. \u201cWhat does Davina think of you having moved in with us?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cUh\u2026 I haven\u2019t had the chance to tell her yet.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou\u2019re going to tell her after we\u2019re done here,\u201d she smiled at him. \u201cYou shouldn\u2019t feel obligated to chase after me all the time, I was fine drinking at Myriam\u2019s.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kol was silent for a moment before speaking up again. \u201cBut perhaps I want to,\u201d he said, immediately throwing his hands up. \u201cNot in a creepy kind of way, I like you as a friend and yes, you\u2019re hot and all, but friends. Besides, you\u2019re with my brother – at the moment. But what you and I have, I like. I don\u2019t have to take into account that I\u2019m still cursed by the Ancestors and can tear out your throat any moment. You\u2019re funny. We\u2019ve spent the last year together and it was so much fun. I like it that my siblings like you. I like it that I can spend more time with my siblings when I\u2019m around you even though they still don\u2019t know what to do with me. I like it that you make me feel like I\u2019m not alone.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou feel alone with Davina?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He shrugged in return. \u201cI\u2019m mad for her, I truly am, but we\u2019ve never been completely honest with each other and I doubt that we\u2019ll ever be. What\u2019s important is that I don\u2019t want her to be killed. Now, Nik and Elijah have backed off because I asked them to, but I don\u2019t want her to die by my hand either. What if I can\u2019t get to you in time?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe solution is simple, really,\u201d Bella sat down on the edge of the machine, dangling her legs over the edge before she pulled him down to her. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m not going to turn her.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI thought you loved her? Make her a little sturdier so that Klaus can\u2019t kill her.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m not going to turn her, Bella, she doesn\u2019t deserve that. Besides, she loves being a witch too much.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWell, you can\u2019t string her along either.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDon\u2019t you think I know that? It\u2019s frustrating!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSo? Go to her,\u201d Bella poked him in the side with her elbow. \u201cGo to her and talk to her. Be honest with her.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was quiet again, the oh so confident Kol Mikaelson had turned shy. \u201cI\u2019d rather not.\u201d He then looked up with a big grin on his face. \u201cGuess who\u2019s here!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOh, I\u2019m so going to kick your ass for changing the subject!\u201d Bella growled as she got to her feet and waved at Hayley. \u201cHi! How\u2019s she doing?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cResisting but nothing I couldn\u2019t handle,\u201d she smirked as she held up an arm. \u201cSorry I dented the merch.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBatting practice!\u201d Kol cheered as he got to his feet and snatched the arm out of Hayley\u2019s hold. \u201cPlease, can I?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat the hell is wrong with you?\u201d Rosalie snapped at Kol. \u201cI thought our kind had a truce, but instead you keep us all like pets? For what reason?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYour family is the only of your kind that\u2019s left, darling,\u201d Kol replied as he twirled the arm in his hand before starting to poke Rosalie with it. \u201cCertainly you would have heard rumors about a Singer decimating your numbers?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Volturi wouldn\u2019t allow it!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThey\u2019re dead.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rosalie blinked at that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSeriously, Hayley? For how long have you kept them in storage?\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThey were on the run, didn\u2019t have access to a lot of things, so\u2026 I don\u2019t know, maybe they\u2019re just plain stupid. Although according to Peter, the longer they go without blood, the more stupid and crazy they get.\u201d she said as she pushed Rosalie away from her. \u201cSo it\u2019s true then, they really can\u2019t see you?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNope,\u201d Bella grinned as she walked around Rosalie in a circle. \u201cCan\u2019t even hear me either until I decide to make my presence known by touching them, awesome, isn\u2019t it?\u201d Rosalie still looked like a flawless barbie doll. Even without having fed in a while, her hair was perfect and her clothes were nearly unscathed. \u201cI\u2019m so glad that they haven\u2019t managed to turn me, though, I mean\u2026 at least I can get dirty and get my hair all messed up and move as if I\u2019m still a human.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kol huffed. \u201cDarling, you\u2019re prettier than she is.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWho are you talking to?\u201d Rosalie said impatiently. \u201cAnd what am I doing here?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cUgh,\u201d Bella said as she positioned herself behind Rosalie and smiled sweetly at Kol and Hayley. \u201cWould you two please make sure she can\u2019t use her legs?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kol held on to Rosalie and kicked her leg, snapping it in half at the knee with Hayley doing the same thing. Bella then kicked Rosalie into the pit and waited for her to turn around before waving at her. \u201cHi!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBella! You get me out of here right now!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIs she really that thick, or?\u201d Kol asked curiously. \u201cSeems like all the Cold Ones have forgotten about what you are, Bella.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bella shrugged as she sat down on the edge of the machine, knowing that she didn\u2019t have long until Rosalie\u2019s legs would have healed. \u201cRosalie, I\u2019m a singer, remember? And I\u2019ve been turned. Guess what I am now?\u201d She said calmly before she continued. \u201cI\u2019m going to take great joy out of killing you and your coven for what you\u2019ve done to me. For what you\u2019ve made me do. You\u2019re the last of your kind. Any last words?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGet me out. Whatever is going on, I\u2019m sure we can talk about it, it\u2019s okay, Bella, the rage and anger that you feel.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWow. Shame I want to hear you scream because I\u2019m just itching to tear off your head,\u201d she replied, getting back to her feet and signalling the machine operator to start squeezing the bitch into a one centimeter steel board. Taking the arm from Kol, she threw that into the pit as well and couldn\u2019t wait to hear Rosalie scream. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And when it happened, the sound of steel on steel, the sound of the machine struggling with doing what it was built to do and Rosalie\u2019s cries did something to Bella. It wasn\u2019t empathy that she felt, no, elation. Pure madness and elation. When the machine appeared to give up, she, Hayley and Kol went to help the machine to squash Rosalie even further until she stopped making noise and the walls nearly touched.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Releasing the now compact Rosalie from the machine, Bella started with breaking off Rosalie\u2019s fingers and toes before setting fire to the venom that had seeped out of Rosalie\u2019s body. \u201cAdios, blondie,\u201d she said as she gathered the bits that she had saved and smirked at Hayley as she held them up. \u201cLet\u2019s throw these at Klaus.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOhh, lets!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

~o.O.o~<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhere have you been? I was worried sick!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bella looked at Klaus and huffed. \u201cPlease, I\u2019m not a fragile little thing nor am I volatile, I\u2019m in control over my own actions. I just needed to get away from you, which is fine. Hayley and I did some bonding while Kol kept an eye on us.\u201d She flopped onto the couch in the courtyard and looked at him. \u201cAre you cured from your excessive need to control everyone and everything?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He just stood there, gaping at her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bella broke one of Rosalie\u2019s fingers in half and threw it at Klaus, hitting him straight in the chest. \u201cGuess not. But guess what? Hayley got Rosalie for me out of storage and we killed her.\u201d She threw the other half of the finger at him as Hayley threw something else at him from another angle. \u201cI want to kill the rest of them tomorrow. They deserve an unspectacular death, but Edward does, so I\u2019ll think about how I want him to die.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIf you refuse her that, you\u2019re really an asshole,\u201d Hayley said as she moved towards the empty chair and continued to pelt pieces of toe at him. \u201cWhat happened to you telling everyone that she\u2019s your equal? She has every reason to make demands at this point. To even think that you\u2019re keeping her from fulfilling her prophecy to the fullest is beyond me, Klaus.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cKol, why haven\u2019t you gone to Davina yet? You brought us home safely, go see your girlfriend,\u201d she reminded him before Bella launched Rosalie\u2019s middle finger at his brother for it to lodge into his leg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Klaus growled as he pulled the finger out of his leg and watched his brother disappear. Whatever was going on, he\u2019d likely find out later. \u201cThat hurts! What are you throwing at me anyway?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bella shrugged as she threw another piece at him. \u201cPieces of Rosalie. But don\u2019t worry, I\u2019ll clean up the mess myself and burn it all when we\u2019re done harassing you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He wasn\u2019t just going to stand there and allow the two to throw Cold One body parts at him. He had better things to do. Dropping the finger onto the floor, he went upstairs to check up on Hope. Klaus knew that Hayley was right about the way he treated Bella, it was very much his default setting and it was difficult to change that. Camille had told him this as well, and he had once admitted that it was the main reason why he was butting heads with Hayley so much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He didn\u2019t want this with Bella. For this to work between them, he\u2019d have to change. Find some middle ground and not feel emasculated. He was happy for Bella that she was finally daring to be herself, have an opinion of her own and not backing down from it because she knew what she wanted. Klaus didn\u2019t want to appear weak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And hell, Bella teaming up with Hayley? That would be a disaster to his relationship with Bella. Klaus needed to change. And change was hard. He could start by having more fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where to start? By giving Bella what she wanted, of course. Hope was still asleep and Hayley would no doubt stay here until she awoke and go back to her apartment across the street. Klaus was going to take Bella to the remaining Cullens and let her play with them, no matter how long she wanted to spend on them. Preferably long, he loved a good torture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was going to be just her and him, and Freya to lift the spell that subdued the Cullens in their current living situation. But no one else. No Kol. No Davina, no Elijah, no one else but Bella and him. Perhaps Peter wanted to watch, but he wouldn\u2019t be strong enough to take on one by himself and after all the trouble Freya had gone through to find a spell and perfect it to turn him into a proper vampire Klaus didn\u2019t want something to happen to him – yet. His sister would be so disappointed if something would happen to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They hadn\u2019t allowed the Cullens to feed since they had managed to catch them all and it had been fascinating to see the decline in their mental state; while their skin remained flawless, they started to lose their minds. While desiccation hurt like hell, Klaus preferred that over losing his mind, really.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After making his way downstairs he held out his hand for Bella to take it. \u201cCome with me, love, let\u2019s entertain ourselves.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bella looked up at him and narrowed her eyes at him. \u201cWhere are we going?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He smiled at that. \u201cYou\u2019ll have to come with me to find out.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sighing dramatically, she took his hand and got to her feet. \u201cAlright, let\u2019s entertain ourselves then,\u201d Bella replied before checking herself over. \u201cAre we going somewhere where I need fancy clothes or is this fine?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou can be naked if you wish, it\u2019d only make the entertainment greater for myself.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She eyed him as she allowed herself to be lead out of the compound. \u201cKinky.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m going to do better, I promise,\u201d he smiled at her, gently squeezing her hand. \u201cWe don\u2019t have anything to worry about anymore. We\u2019ve dealt with Lucien, Aurora and Tristan, prevented the beast rising and we\u2019re once again in the New Orleans that we love so much. It\u2019s only fair that we\u2019re going to deal with your demons before we can truly enjoy the life that we have.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEven if I want to find a job?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhy would you want to work? I can provide you with everything you need if you\u2019ve spent all of your money in Europe in the last year?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo, I haven\u2019t, but I\u2019m not one to stay at home and be pretty, Klaus. I want to do something. Make a difference. Now that I\u2019m free, maybe I want to attend college or something, study medicine or become a historian. Now that I\u2019m not ageing anymore, I could be both! Oh, I could study to my heart\u2019s content!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cStudy from home?\u201d Klaus blinked in surprise; he had expected something else and had arranged a big surprise for her but it was her who surprised him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOf course not!\u201d She smiled at him then, seeing the disappointed look on his face. \u201cLook, what you love in your friends, their thirst for knowledge, their intellect\u2026 You nurture that, why is it so strange that I want to expand my knowledge? I can do whatever I want now and I want that. Or a job.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou\u2019re my queen, Bella, you—\u201d Can\u2019t leave, he added in silence. Not with what he had planned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd this queen will be very bored if she has to stay at home,\u201d she sighed. \u201cBesides, college won\u2019t start for another few months, I\u2019m dying to dig through all the shit we stole from the Volturi and learn from that, too, aren\u2019t you?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She had a point, he knew that, but her going off to college and learn something provided security risks, he\u2019d have to think about something to protect her because no vampire would voluntarily go back to college. Everything that he and his siblings knew were from experience, books. Or from times a long time ago when getting an education wasn\u2019t that extensive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDon\u2019t you even think about sending someone with me to college to protect me, Klaus. I can handle it myself,\u201d she grinned. \u201cNow, where did you put them?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAren\u2019t you the fantastic Cold One hunter, able to sniff them out wherever they are?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She growled at that. \u201cI\u2019ve been trying since I got back to New Orleans, asshole. Freya hid them with magic, didn\u2019t she? And not just for anyone, for me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI merely wanted you to come home first,\u201d he admitted playfully. \u201cHaven\u2019t seen you in a year and such.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cUhuh,\u201d she eyed him cautiously when they entered the alley behind Rousseau\u2019s, Cami\u2019s old stomping grounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe previous owner of Rousseau\u2019s left Camille the bar in his will; he never changed it after she passed. He died after being in a horrible accident in the Bayou involving some wolves\u2026\u201d Klaus mused. \u201cCamille didn\u2019t have a will of sorts and thus Rousseau\u2019s was put on the market to be sold. I wasn\u2019t too happy about it, since I love coming to Rousseau\u2019s, despite Camille\u2019s absence. God forbid the new owner turns it into some hippy circus and paint the walls purple with red dots.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhy are you so afraid of change?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m not,\u201d he replied before stopping at the back door of the bar. \u201cSo the rumor is that the same anonymous donor who saved the club D\u00e9bauche, you may have heard of it – lovely club, lovely ladies and great atmosphere – purchased Rousseau\u2019s.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou didn\u2019t!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNot me, this anonymous donor,\u201d he kissed the top of her head before handing her the keys. \u201cRousseau\u2019s been \u2018renovating\u2019 for quite some time now. People talk about the new owner not having enough money left to fix it or whatever, but frankly, I needed a space to stuff some statues in for a while. After they\u2019re smashed, maybe we can look into fixing the place in something that\u2019s more suitable for you? You love to cook, you love people, why not do what Camille did and help others?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bella growled and punched him in the gut, hard. \u201cI told you, I am going to college and I\u2019m certainly not going to manage Rousseau\u2019s for you and turn into the new Camille because that\u2019s just an insult to her memory!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat\u2019s not what I meant, I—\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bella loved watching Klaus struggle just a little. She appreciated the sentiment and she\u2019d totally love it to manage the bar in her free time or alongside school, but the way he said it made it sound as if he wanted to replace Cami and her memory. \u201cI know that, Klaus,\u201d she smiled at him and softly kissed his lips. \u201cI love the sentimental fool that\u2019s inside of you, the love that you hold for others. I would love to run Rousseau\u2019s with you!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo, no, love, you have me all wrong!\u201d Klaus said panicked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m nothing like Myriam. I love my independence and making my own place in this world, but you<\/em> bought this bar, Klaus. If you want me to run it, we\u2019re going to run it together. If you don\u2019t want to do that, it\u2019s best to sell this place again,\u201d she kissed him again and hugged him. \u201cThank you though, no one\u2019s ever bought me a bar before!\u201d Bella giggled before stepping inside and squealed in delight when she saw the enthralled Cullens wading through the bar as if they were zombies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He wasn\u2019t one to work<\/em>, do things that humans liked to do and he was certainly not going to start. Klaus Mikaelson was an artist, not a manager. He huffed as he followed her in, dismissing Peter and Alina with a nod. \u201cI still don\u2019t want to do this with you,\u201d he said to Bella.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOh, shush,\u201d Bella dismissed him. \u201cYou don\u2019t even have to show your face or work<\/em>. Rousseau\u2019s is big enough to have a small area where you can work on your art and you can show them off in the bar. Hell, isn\u2019t there an apartment upstairs? We could turn that into an office and an art studio.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bella shrugged. \u201cThink about it. I love the grand gesture of Rousseau\u2019s, but I\u2019m not going to do this alone.\u201d She zigzagged through the Cullens and sighed. \u201cCan you call Freya to drop the spells that are making them like this? It\u2019s dampening me too and I really really want to feel everything as I tear them apart.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat if they run off?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDoubtful,\u201d she replied as she turned around to face him with a big smile on her face. \u201cFirst off; they won\u2019t see me until we touch and they\u2019ll be too confused and will demand answers from you. Secondly; let them. I\u2019m faster.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cVery well,\u201d he replied as he got out his phone. \u201cIt\u2019s your party.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDamn straight.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The moment Freya cancelled the spell – or whatever you liked to call it, Bella felt the impact of standing right in the middle of Cold Ones. She was cold, angry, disgusted and hungry. While she couldn\u2019t eat them, she could have some blood later. She quickly moved away from them as they started to become more aware to their situation and hopped onto the bar to watch them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes, she wanted to kill them all, but it was sad, too. She didn\u2019t want to have to kill them, but they deserved it because they had hurt her, abused her and broken her trust. They had her on the run for so long and it felt great to finally have the upper hand on them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She had mixed feelings when she killed Rosalie because despite everything, Rosalie valued human life, humanity and everything that came with it. Bella didn\u2019t believe she had actively tried to chase her as well, but still, Rosalie had to go. Not one Cold One could remain because they\u2019d create others. And they\u2019d create others and then\u2026 well, the Cold One population could once again grow exponentially and Bella really didn\u2019t want that to happen. She couldn\u2019t allow that to happen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enough humans had been terrorized by these glorified walking, talking discoballs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These Cold Ones were hungry and angry, Klaus didn\u2019t need to be the bloody singer to notice that, and right now, they were closing him in like a pack of rabid dogs. Again, he preferred the pain and discomfort of desiccating over going insane any time, his mind was his everything. \u201cMr. Mikaelson, if you\u2019d be so kind as to give us some blood, we could have a civil discussion,\u201d Carlisle Cullen looked as if he was barely keeping it together. Truth be told, Klaus was slightly entertained by that. \u201cWhatever the reason is why you\u2019ve kept my family here for—\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhere\u2019s Rosalie?\u201d Emmett demanded, pushing Klaus against the wall. \u201cWhere\u2019s my wife?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOh, terribly sorry to say, but she\u2019s dead,\u201d Klaus replied as he took hold of Emmett\u2019s arm and started to dent it so that the bulldozer would let go of him and he could rip off his arm. He trusted that Bella would come to his rescue – not that he needed rescuing. Klaus could easily take on six insane Cold Ones by himself, except for the fact that they were massive and hard to kill and would likely tear him apart, and that would hurt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emmett let go of Klaus, rubbing his arm, speeding up the healing process. \u201cWhat? How?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat do you say, love?\u201d Klaus looked around the Cullens and locked eyes with Bella who was grinning like a loon on top of that bar. \u201cHim first?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGo ahead,\u201d she giggled as she looked back at him. \u201cHe\u2019s a tough one.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat? You want me to do it?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWho are you talking to?\u201d Emmett grunted as Klaus punched him. \u201cThere is,\u201d Jasper replied calmly, looking around the bar as he tried to focus. A part of Bella didn\u2019t want to kill him and have Freya turn him into a normal vampire like she\u2019d done to Peter, but Peter had made it abundantly clear that he didn\u2019t want to do anything with his former friend for what he\u2019d done. \u201cI don\u2019t know where, exactly, it\u2019s\u2026 I don\u2019t know, it\u2019s as if she inhabits this place like a blanket. She\u2019s angry, hurt\u2026 hungry and\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHorny,\u201d Bella said with a grin and winked at Klaus as he ducked Emmett\u2019s punch again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cShe?\u201d Carlisle shook his head as if he was shaking it clear of the cobwebs and then a look of recognition and dread flashed over his face. \u201cOf course.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYeah, Carlisle, you should have killed me when you had the chance!\u201d Bella didn\u2019t move from her position on the bar. \u201cIt\u2019s a miracle that nobody is actually making an attempt to help Emmett, Klaus. Take him to another room and have fun with him.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo,\u201d he growled as his werewolf visage bled out and jumped on Emmett\u2019s back to pop off his head from his shoulders. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNobody make any sudden movements,\u201d Carlisle told his family. \u201cKlaus isn\u2019t the one we should be worried about.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDuh,\u201d Bella rolled her eyes at that. She enjoyed it so much that Jasper was trying so hard to pinpoint her location and saw him walk into the kitchen. She could feel that he was trying to influence her, but the best part of being the singer was that the gifts the gifted Cold Ones had no longer worked on her. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s Bella, isn\u2019t it?\u201d Alice piped up, standing close to Edward, ready for him to protect her. \u201cBella, we mean you no harm.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWow.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emmett\u2019s body dropped to the floor and Klaus kicked the head away as far as possible, they were going to have to retrieve it later. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cShow yourself or I\u2019ll kill him,\u201d Edward growled as he pushed Klaus against the wall much like his brother had done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSeriously?\u201d Both Klaus and Bella replied, causing Bella to burst out in laughter. \u201cOh wow. Look at him being all manly. You know, Klaus? I don\u2019t even remember why I was so scared of them. Look at them being all weak and pathetic.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI know, love.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYes, it appears that our Bella grown to her full potential,\u201d Carlisle said in the same dulcet tones he\u2019d been using since he started to speak up. \u201cLord knows what she\u2019ll do.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bella let out a frustrated grunt as she hopped off the bar and grabbed Carlisle to give him flying lessons. \u201cWe were going to redecorate, yes?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYes,\u201d Klaus replied as he held Edward in a headlock. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGood!\u201d She smirked at Carlisle as he realized that it was indeed her and tossed him over the bar, right into the wall. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBella, please, we can talk about this,\u201d he tried to reason with her as she launched herself on top of him and pulled off his legs with ease, throwing them against Esme. \u201cPlease, don\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOh, go on, Carlisle, I love hearing you beg,\u201d Bella growled at him as she punched a hole in his chest and allowed the venom to flow out of him. \u201cLove, what if we\u2019d set fire to this place?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWorth a shot,\u201d Bella shrugged as she stopped an arm from hitting her and pulled it out of its socket. \u201cStart praying, son of a preacherman because you\u2019re going to die. Say hi to Satan when you see him, huh?\u201d She stuffed the arm into the hole she had made in Carlisle\u2019s chest and then ripped his head off. Getting to her feet, she aimed for Esme\u2019s head and threw Carlisle’s head at her, decapitating her with ease. \u201cDamn, that was fucking easy. She did not see that coming!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She felt how her strength was increasing, even fuelled with her connection to Klaus and Kol, as she leapt over the bar and launched herself at the tiny Alice. It was easy to tear her in half like a piece of paper and threw both ends on opposite sides of the bar. Jasper was next and Jasper was the hardest because he knew to fight, even in this imperfect version of himself, but she had the upper hand, she was still invisible to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI may not be able to influence you, Bella, but I\u2019ve got your man under my control.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bella let out a snort. \u201cDoes he, now?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOf course not,\u201d Klaus spat, kicking against Edward\u2019s legs so that they\u2019d break and the asshole couldn\u2019t use them to gain leverage over him. \u201cHis gift is weakened, he\u2019s trying hard, but it\u2019s not working.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGood!\u201d She danced around Jasper for a while as he tried to find her still before she got enough of the games and tapped him on his shoulder. Bella positioned herself behind him and punched him hard. \u201cThat\u2019s for Peter,\u201d she punched him again, harder this time. \u201cAnd that\u2019s for being an asshole with powers that should have been used for good and not for harm. Do you have any idea how many people you could have helped? But no, you were too selfish to control yourself and mingle with others!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jasper swung at her but she moved and tripped him. Using the momentum, she jumped on his back so that he face planted onto the floor and kept hitting him until there were dents everywhere. She was angry, she was so damn angry and hurt that she kept punching him until Jasper surprised her by throwing her off of him and started to attack her. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He got in a few good punches, but ended up pissing her off even further when he managed to break a chair on Bella and used what remained in his hand to drive a stake through Klaus\u2019 heart, causing him to drop Edward to the floor so that Edward could start to heal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOh, you did not just do that,\u201d Bella said as she dusted herself off as she got up from the floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat can I say, Bella? You kill my family, I kill your boyfriend.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was circling Jasper now whilst keeping an eye on Edward. He was easier to kill, but he needed to be the last one. The one she spent most time with. Jasper was only delaying the inevitable for himself. \u201cAre you sure?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI staked him, didn\u2019t I?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She let out a snort. \u201cYou do know who he is, right?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jasper shrugged. \u201cHe\u2019s a vampire, why do I care?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLet me tell you a story. Once upon a time there was a witch who wanted to protect her children from the dangers in the world and created the first vampires.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bella huffed at that. \u201cOh please, you only exist because a couple of witches had gotten greedy. I exist to remedy that problem.\u201d She then pointed at Klaus. \u201cHe\u2019s one of the Original vampires. They can\u2019t be taken down with a regular stake.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe looks pretty dead to me.\u201d Jasper kicked against the lifeless body, only to be surprised when Klaus\u2019 hand grabbed his ankle and with his other hand started to pull the stake out of his chest. \u201cWhat the hell?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYeah, he\u2019s not just an indestructible vampire, but he\u2019s also the Original Hybrid. It\u2019s the wolf side of him that doesn\u2019t keep him down that long when staked,\u201d Bella said casually. \u201cHe\u2019s going to kill you now.\u201d She hopped back onto the bar and grinned. \u201cI\u2019ll just sit back and enjoy the show.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Klaus growled as he smashed Jasper into a table before picking him up again and threw him into another table. \u201cYou know, love, I was thinking\u2026\u201d He lunged for Jasper and started to punch his face. \u201cI know that we\u2019ve had a rough time for a couple of years and we were only together out in the open for a few months before I turned you\u2026\u201d Klaus grunted as Jasper kicked him off of him and Klaus scrambled back onto his feet. \u201cAnd then you were gone for a full year killing all of those Cold Ones\u2026 and not to forget my enemies\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYes?\u201d Bella grabbed one of the remaining bottles of alcohol and took a large gulp from it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Klaus threw Jasper into one of the cabinets, smashing it to pieces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019re going to need to get that replaced, I actually liked that cabinet,\u201d Bella deadpanned, taking another gulp from the bottle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhatever your heart desires, love,\u201d Klaus replied, punching Jasper again. \u201cBut as I was saying, you have no idea how happy you make me and how badly I want to attempt to make our life a bit more fun.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHence buying this bar so you can run it with me?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll continue discuss the matter of my involvement later,\u201d he said as he ducked to avoid a punch from Jasper. \u201cBut for now, consider this my engagement gift to you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEngagement?\u201d Bella blinked at him, sitting up straight as she put the bottle down. \u201cWhat?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Growling, Klaus threw Jasper through the bar, causing him to smash into one of the support beams and making the building shake. \u201cWe\u2019ll compel someone to marry us. I just want it to be official so my brother can\u2019t take you away from me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIs this still about Kol? We\u2019re the best of friends, Klaus. You shouldn\u2019t feel threatened by him!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not him I\u2019m worried about!\u201d Klaus shot at her as he yanked off one of Jasper\u2019s arms and threw it at Edward\u2019s head to keep him down on the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat, Elijah? Oh gross, Klaus. Really? He\u2019s with Myriam and you know I don\u2019t like him very much!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBella and her hybrid vampire just got engaged,\u201d Jasper grunted as he ducked away from one of Klaus\u2019 punches. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMy Bella?\u201d Edward blinked. \u201cNo, she wouldn\u2019t do that.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Breaking Jasper in half in a sudden fit of rage, he dropped the two parts onto the floor and headed straight for Edward. \u201cShe\u2019s mine!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bella giggled as she hopped off the bar and jumped around with glee and allowed Klaus to get a few punches in before making her way over to the two and brushed up against Edward so he could see her. \u201cIsn\u2019t he wonderful?\u201d she swooned as she took a few steps back to allow Klaus to hit Edward some more. \u201cThat\u2019s my man! So strong, so\u2026 hot\u2026 so non-sparkly and damn\u2026 that ass.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Edward let out a whine and sloppily tried to fight Klaus, but Bella knew that he knew that he was going to die, seeing as both Emmett and Jasper had just been taken down by this Klaus Mikaelson. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCan I have a go now, please?\u201d Bella asked sweetly. \u201cOr\u2026 no, you know what? Continue to defend my honor. It\u2019s pleasing.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLove, the sooner you kill him, the sooner we can consummate our engagement.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOhhhh,\u201d Bella cooed with a grin. \u201cHold that thought! I have the most amazing idea!\u201d She ran around to make sure none of the Cold One parts were touching before returning with some steel chains. She yanked off Edward\u2019s arms and tied him up against another support beam before jumping into Klaus\u2019 arms. \u201cFuck me. Now.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLove, in front of your ex and the other sissy?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSix Cold Ones. Lots of venom. Sorry that we didn’t anticipate the wind direction, Dad,\u201d Bella shrugged as she snatched the glass of blood out of Elijah\u2019s hands and drank it. They had fed on their way home, but she was hungry and insatiable. Rousseau\u2019s needed a bigger remodeling than originally anticipated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m happy to hear your nightmare is over now, Bella,\u201d Myriam smiled at her. \u201cWhat are you going to do now?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Myriam spat out her drink as she looked at the both of them in shock. \u201cTell me that I didn\u2019t hear what I just heard.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amused, Myriam decided to react the way normal people did. \u201cDid he go down on one knee? Present the ring?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWell, I, for one thing, thinks it\u2019s perfect,\u201d Freya hugged Klaus and Bella before sitting down in one of the chairs. \u201cImagine the big wedding we\u2019re going to have to plan! Everything will be perfect! And, should we finally find a solution to Rebekah\u2019s little problem, we can get her out of the box to start helping us!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo,\u201d Bella narrowed her eyes on Freya. \u201cSure, big wedding or whatever fancies everyone, but you will not be that excited about it. \u201cDavina broke up with me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kol sighed as he returned the hug. \u201cApparently she underestimated her own fear towards me and her fear is stronger than her love. I don\u2019t blame her, really.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll figure it out, Kol, I promise,\u201d she kissed the top of his head and pulled him towards the rest of his family. \u201cYou know what?\u201d Bella pushed him into a chair and poured him a glass of bourbon. \u201cYou should go to college with me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bella kissed Klaus before pulling Kol with her, cheering as they ran off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elijah had a hard time wrapping his head around the fact that this girl had just changed their entire family dynamic. Niklaus and Rousseau\u2019s? Not compelling or hiring people but restoring it himself? Bella taking Kol to college? Niklaus and Bella getting married and potentially moving out? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Perhaps it was the right time that they all lived their own lives, but Elijah wasn\u2019t quite sure if he was ready. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Only time would tell if this was the right course of action, but for now, he\u2019d allow his younger siblings and the latest addition to their family do whatever they wanted, as long as it wouldn\u2019t harm their family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSo,\u201d Myriam casually started when it was just her and Elijah in the courtyard. \u201cSince your brother won\u2019t be using your mother\u2019s ring, perhaps you could find a good home for it?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elijah sucked in a breath. He was going to kill Niklaus. Hybrid or not, he was going to kill him. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
