Chapter 10<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

She had spent the entire week trying to learn the spell that would transform Jasper and Peter into regular vampires. Regular. The word was quite stupid, there wasn\u2019t anything regular about vampires. Dead people surviving mostly off of blood. Immortal. \u2018Regular vampire\u2019 in this case meant, no longer a cold one. No longer indestructible, no longer a bigger threat to humans than other vampires in New Orleans and most importantly; easier to kill should they get out of hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bella particularly liked the last bit. While she had spoken to Jasper on occasion, she couldn\u2019t help but feel that she couldn\u2019t trust him. She could trust him when she needed her feelings sorted out because he knew them better than she did, but other than that, she didn\u2019t trust him. Peter was an enigma wrapped in another. It was hard to get a sense of him, although she had to admit that everything that Edward had told her about him was wrong. He kept Jasper balanced and out of trouble and stayed out of trouble himself. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, she was sure that once she made them into normal vampires that she was going to see a lot more of them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peter had managed to secure another cold one – his former mate Charlotte had been gullible enough to be pried away from the advancing group of Cold Ones who sided with the Cullens. Peter got chastised by both Klaus and Elijah for doing something like that, especially seeing as there was a large group of them and what if Peter had been caught? He could have informed the Cullens about what they were planning for them in New Orleans. No, they weren\u2019t happy about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The spell also required a flesh and blood vampire and Klaus had selected one of his nightwalkers who came in last. The vampire wasn\u2019t happy at all and Klaus had to compel him to play along. Both Charlotte and Dennis were unwilling participants and it was something Bella had to get passed. Life wasn\u2019t all about rainbows and butterflies, even though the last few weeks had certainly felt like it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She wasn\u2019t even worried if she was going to do something wrong with the spell, or spells, to be exact. Davina and Kol had been patient while they explained the spell to her and what she had to say and how, and what she had to do. Bella was powerful enough, she knew that, but the slightest mistake or shift of power could get Jasper and Peter killed. And she didn\u2019t care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Was it bad of her not to care? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They were in an abandoned warehouse across the river and while Davina and Kol were present, they weren\u2019t going to step in unless they had to. Bella didn\u2019t want Kol to help her, the idea of losing him to the Ancestors hurt her heart. She had told him that even if he had the urge to help her, he had to promise not to. She didn\u2019t care much about what happened to Davina, but she wanted Kol to be the way that he was. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elijah, Klaus, and Rebekah were present and so were a handful of Klaus\u2019 vampires and Marcel. She hated it that all eyes were on her as she drew two overlapping circles with chalk. \u201cStop looking at me,\u201d she said as she finished the circles and got ready to draw the symbols she needed. \u201cYou\u2019re making me nervous.\u201d She wiped the chalk off her hands on her skirt and took out her phone and earbuds to focus on music while she continued her work. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After she was sure that the symbols matched the one on her sketch, she removed the earbuds and looked at Klaus. \u201cI need another one of your nightwalkers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo way,\u201d Marcel shook his head. \u201cYou\u2019re going to get one.\u201d He pointed at Dennis for emphasis. \u201cHe should be enough.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She ignored Marcel as she looked at Klaus. \u201cPlease?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cVery well,\u201d he responded with a nod and grabbed a random vampire and compelled him to obey him, just like he had with Dennis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cKlaus!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a sigh, Elijah snapped Marcel\u2019s neck and then looked at Bella with a grin. \u201cHe\u2019d only distract you, Isabella.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThanks,\u201d she grinned as she took the hands of the two vampires and lead them into the left circle. She asked Klaus to tell them to lay down and once they did, she placed her hands on their foreheads and muttered \u201cDormir.\u201d It worked instantly and the vampires were out cold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Charlotte was struggling against Peter and Jasper\u2019s hold on her, if it weren\u2019t for the gag, she\u2019d be spewing obscenities matching the look in her eyes. Bella pointed to the overlapping point of the two circles and with some struggling, they had her on the ground in no time at all. She repeated the spell she did on the other two vampires and sighed in relief. At least that worked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis is how it\u2019s going to happen,\u201d she explained to everyone in the warehouse. \u201cI first need to transfer Charlotte\u2019s essence somewhere else. In agreement with Peter, I\u2019m going to release her essence into the ether, passing her on. With the upcoming fight in mind, once her body has no use to me anymore, we will dismantle her and burn her, using her ashes to forge weapons that will penetrate a Cold One with minimal effort. Depending on how many weapons we can make, Kol, Davina and I will spell it so it becomes an even more powerful weapon against Cold Ones. They will not work on you. I promise. The two nightwalkers will be passed on as well, should the spell work properly, their shells will turn into the shells of Cold Ones. Once again, we will burn them and use their ashes for the weapons.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kol was so proud of his Bella. She spoke with confidence, she oozed confidence in everything she was doing right now and he knew this spell was going to wipe her out but if it wouldn\u2019t, he would definitely wait for everyone to leave and take her up the wall in the warehouse. That wall, over there, with the smooth side and the little stool against it for her to stand upon if she needed some aid\u2026 \u201cOw!\u201d he winced as Davina kicked against his shins. \u201cWhy did you do that?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She simply eyed his groin area with a smile on her face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo one, I repeat, no one, will enter the circles until the transformation is complete. It could take up to an hour, maybe longer. While Jasper and Peter will be completely oblivious during all of this, every one of you will have to be patient. I have no idea how this spell will affect me, but if I get in trouble, Rebekah will help me out. Should I need extra magic, Davina will provide it for me. Questions?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGo on then, little Swan, you\u2019ve made yourself very clear,\u201d Klaus said with a nod. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bella nodded as she invited Jasper and Peter in the other half of the circle and used the same spell as she had used on the other vampires before she stepped outside the circle and walked over to Kol with a big smile on her face. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat?\u201d He chuckled. She didn\u2019t look nervous, but he sure as hell was.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cKiss for good luck?\u201d She asked playfully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou don\u2019t need—\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bella pulled reached up to his head and pulled him down while she tugged on his hair to kiss him passionately, only breaking off the kiss when they both needed air. She then smiled at his dumbfounded face and kissed his cheek as she ruffled his hair and then walked back to her task, feeling a little more relaxed. She definitely needed that kiss. She wanted more, but she doubt that it would be appreciated by everyone else in that warehouse. That smooth wall with the stepping stool looked appealing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She took a deep breath and closed her eyes as she stretched out her arms to reach the three vampires who were moving on. \u201cEntrez dans S\u00e9r\u00e9nit\u00e9, votre Vie \u00e9tait Magnifique. She took another deep breath and repeated the sentences a few times before she realized that the minds of these vampires weren\u2019t going to give up that easily. Her eyes flew open and she reached for her jar of ground up gemstones. She took a handful of the ground up Serpentine, Amethyst and Chiastolite and sprinkled some on the bodies before she repeated the sentences. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Slowly, but surely, she could feel how the essences of these vampires vacated their bodies. \u201cBe at peace, Dennis, Rick and Charlotte, may you be welcomed back in the arms of your loved ones.\u201d She then watched as three balls of light shot up and moved out of the window and smiled. At least that one had been successful. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bella loved it that Davina and Kol had adjusted the spell to her liking, nothing that forceful if not needed. Of course, she knew the backup spell as well, but she liked things to be easy going, pressure less. She sat down at the blonde heads of Peter and Jasper and sprinkled some of her gem mixture on top of them, although she suspected that she wouldn\u2019t meet any resistance from them, they wanted this. All this\u2026 three bodies was for them. It took a lot for her not to be disgusted by it. \u201cAlright you two,\u201d she said softly as she moved to touch their shoulders with one hand and reached for Charlotte with her other. \u201cTime to vacate your bodies for a bit. \u201cIl\u2019est temps de se s\u00e9perat\u00e9 de votre corps. Rebekah was quick to catch her when she got to her feet, feeling slightly dizzy. \u201cThanks,\u201d Bella smiled at her as she held on to Rebekah for a moment and then let go of her to start circling the circles while she chanted something in latin. Or whatever language it was, it certainly was similar. The idea was that both circles would merge onto Peter and Jasper while casting out the Cold One makeup. She had needed Charlotte to hold their essences because a normal vampire would have exploded, but at the same time, the spell had to cancel out their originality. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The warehouse slowly spun out of existence, she could only see what was in front of her as she continued her spell, feeling some resistance coming from the other side. Davina had told her that it could happen, casting a spell of this magnitude would surely wake up the Ancestors and they\u2019d try to stop it even if Bella didn\u2019t have to answer to them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She grunted as she continued chanting and tried to imagine a steel door to push the Ancestors away. She knew that they knew that they had no say over her, but they were trying to bring her off balance and have her fail the spell. They sure weren\u2019t giving up, and neither was she. While she kept circling the dormant vampires and held one hand above them, she used her other one to put extra force behind that mental door. Just as Davina had taught her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She didn\u2019t know how long it took but eventually she could feel how everything was transferring back as it should, energy was lightly brushing against the hand she kept centered. Had she not cast out the first three vampires, she would have gained some of their strength, but she didn\u2019t want it, simply because she didn\u2019t need more strength. She then realized she made the big mistake of not protecting Jasper\u2019s and Peter\u2019s gifts that well and stopped casting. Fuck. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time she stopped casting, the circle winked out of existence just as the warehouse had done earlier and she was met with darkness as she passed out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She woke up with a pounding head. It was as if there were tens of thousands of midgets inside her brain and trying to drill their way out. When she opened her eyes, she was relieved that the room was blissfully dark. Room. It took her a moment to realize she wasn\u2019t in the warehouse anymore. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHey, hey,\u201d she could hear Kol shush her and felt how he gently took her into his arms. \u201cShh, it\u2019s okay, Davina made sure everything wrapped up nicely.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bella sighed as she snuggled up against him. \u201cDid it work?\u201d Oh, speaking hurt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And I\u2019m quite positive I\u2019ll be able to handle it.\u201d He just looked at her. She loved his confused puppy look face and softly kissed him. \u201cThe spell blocked vampire abilities but Jasper and Peter are more than that and it brushed off to me\u2026 just a little bit.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOh, great,\u201d Kol groaned as his head fell back onto his pillow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m sure that I\u2019ll be fine in a few days.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When he stopped nuzzling and popped his head up to look at her, he had this arrogant smirk on his face. Bella knew that he knew exactly what he was doing. \u201cYou little shit,\u201d she moaned as she bucked her hips against him. Where did that come from?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOh, this is very interesting indeed,\u201d Kol grinned and kissed her as he released one of her wrists to quickly guide himself into her and grabbed hold of her wrist again before she had developed a thought of maybe doing something with her hand. \u201cI should tie you up the next time\u2026\u201d he said huskily. \u201cUp against a wall or just here on the bed\u2026 make sure you absolutely can\u2019t move by yourself\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She let out a strangled moan, quite liking that idea herself, as he sunk himself into her. \u201cThat wall in the warehouse\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOh, you noticed that too, have you?\u201d He grinned as he licked along the vein in her neck. \u201cIt\u2019s definitely something we could do\u2026 the feeling of that cold wall against your back as I have my way with you\u2026\u201d Kol rocked his hips once he was in and started to move. \u201cSlow at first\u2026 slow and deep.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She arched her back into him with a moan as she closed her eyes. She could already imagine the sensation of that happening. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBut then again, we\u2019d be up against a wall and would definitely need something for you to stand on\u2026 otherwise, it\u2019d be fast and hard,\u201d he continued with a groan and started to drive himself into her. \u201cOr slow\u2026\u201d he adjusted the pace again just to tease her. \u201cWhile you ride me as I walk around that warehouse\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She couldn\u2019t bring out a coherent thought then, as he continued to claim her with various speeds and her body making involuntary movements. The fact that he was keeping her in place was thrilling, exciting and something she wanted more of; he would never hurt her. She knew this. Bella then started to think of him being all tied up and nowhere to go and all the things she could do with him then\u2026 how he\u2019d look. So gorgeous. So hot. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She came hard and fast as he slammed into her, not bothering to keep quiet as it was a moot point with all those vampires around. She could feel him come inside of her as she basked in post-coital bliss, knowing that the next few days were going to be very interesting indeed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bella loved spending time with Rene\u00e9 and showing her around New Orleans with Kol. It gave her a sense of normalcy. Almost. It was something she hadn\u2019t realized of having needed that. Her mother and Phil had to stay at a hotel because Klaus didn\u2019t want them at the compound but had assigned two vampires to keep an eye on them when they weren\u2019t with Bella and Kol. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The few days were was almost normal, with no spells and no vampire intervention, up until the last evening of Rene\u00e9\u2019s visit. Klaus had orchestrated a nice dinner with both families and, in hindsight, Bella should have known better to accept or let allow her mom to accept. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was no doubt that the entire Mikaelson family liked showing off, liked showing their guests how well off they were. To impress. To show their guests that they\u2019re better and always would be. She never really paid attention to it, simply because Kol – at least alone with her – wasn\u2019t like that and didn\u2019t flaunt it in her face. Much. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Klaus had compelled an excellent chef from a nearby restaurant to cook for them and even had some servers to make sure that everything would be perfect. And it was. It was fun, entertaining and comfortable right until Klaus grabbed the wrist of one of the female servants and bit it, lapping up her blood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While Rebekah and Elijah were quick to compel Rene\u00e9 and Phil to forget this was happening, Bella was boiling with anger. She had managed to avoid having to compel her mom and Phil ever since they set foot in New Orleans because she didn\u2019t like the idea of their brains being scrambled and Klaus just did it to prove a point. He\u2019d do always what he wanted to do, no matter the consequences. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After taking Rene\u00e9 and her boyfriend to the airport, Kol managed to calm Bella down enough for her not to go after Klaus or blow up the fountain again and took her out for a drink instead. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The following morning they were abruptly woken up by the sound of things getting knocked over in their room. When Bella sat up and blinked, trying to fix her headache, she saw that Rebekah was trying to pull her brother out of the room. If she didn\u2019t know any better, Klaus seemed to be frothing at the mouth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGood morning, brother,\u201d Kol greeted him chipper. Bella was envious. They had had so much to drink last night and she didn\u2019t quite remember what happened and was hungover, but Kol seemed to be fine. It wasn\u2019t fair. \u201cSlept well?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m going to kill you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNik, calm down,\u201d Rebekah grunted as she moved in front of her brother and started to push him out. \u201cIt\u2019s a harmless prank.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHarmless?\u201d Klaus breezed as he shoved his sister away from him and stormed the bed. \u201cHarmless?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat\u2019s the matter?\u201d Kol said patronizingly before slipping out of bed and getting into his slacks. \u201cDon\u2019t you look pretty as a speckled pup. Did you wake from a three dog night? Did someone claim your territory as his? Oh!\u201d he grinned. \u201cDid someone piss in your cereal?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou get rid of them, now!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou\u2019re barking up the wrong tree, mate,\u201d he grinned. \u201cOr no, you\u2019re not but you should really flog the dog, you know\u2026 don\u2019t hurt the actual dog.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bella looked between Kol and his brother and felt so confused. \u201cWhat the hell is going on?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOh, of course, she conveniently forgets!\u201d Klaus rolled his eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOh, Cuddles, don\u2019t you remember our curious incident of the dogs during night time?\u201d Kol smirked at her. \u201cIt\u2019ll take a lot of work for Niklaus to fix this, he\u2019s just angry with us because he doesn\u2019t have a bitch to do it for him.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHey!\u201d Rebekah said offended and crossed her arms over her chest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOh, I don\u2019t mean you, dear sister.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cKol, what did we do last night?\u201d Bella asked carefully, the events of last night being quite foggy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019ll throw you a bone, darling, we took our revenge on Klaus last night. You were all worked up on how he drank from a human in front of your parents so we let the dogs out and lead them to their Alpha. Their pack leader,\u201d he said with a smirk. \u201cNow he has to feed them and bring them back.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe hell I will!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBrother, sometimes you\u2019re the dog, sometimes you\u2019re the hydrant,\u201d he said with a shrug. \u201cYou made your bed last night during dinner, now you have to sleep in it. Just be grateful they are puppies from the pound being brought to you, next time we\u2019ll cast a sleeping spell and bring you to the pound.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWill that actually work?\u201d Rebekah asked with an amused look on her face. \u201cCan we actually do that?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Klaus breezed out of the room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe looks like a kicked puppy,\u201d Bella snorted and hugged the covers close to her as not to fall out of bed. \u201cWe really did what you just said?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt was your idea, Cuddles. You\u2019re a wicked drunk.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI guess\u2026\u201d She groaned as she fell back on her pillow before realizing something and sat back up again. \u201cWe\u2019d better save those dogs from Klaus if we want to keep them alive\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOh, you two really didn\u2019t think this through, did you?\u201d Rebekah groaned as she sped out of the room to save the dogs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe were drunk!\u201d Kol called after her, laughing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They spent the entire morning rounding up the dogs – it weren\u2019t that many but for some reason they hadn\u2019t taken leashes with them and Bella gave up after ten minutes – and taking them back to the shelter. Lunch was something fatty and gooey and after a long shower, Bella was finally starting to feel like herself again. The events of the previous night still forgotten, but it still rippled through the Compound as there was an angry hybrid stomping around. Kol and Bella spent the afternoon at the cemetery going over some potions they could use when the Cullens would come for them. Not just for them, but also for the vampires who would be fighting for them to defeat the cold ones. Why make things hard when you can make things simple?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By the time they got back, the sun had gone down and they returned to a virtually empty building, with only Jasper waiting for their return. \u201cWhere is everyone?\u201d Kol asked as he looked around. The lights were on, but there was definitely no one home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPeter had a hunch. You know how his hunches work and so does Klaus so they all went. I have no idea why,\u201d he replied with his usual drawl and half a shrug. \u201cI was told to stay behind to make sure you were alright.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat kind of hunch?\u201d Bella asked warily as she poured herself a glass of lemonade from the jug that was left on the table in the courtyard. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jasper let out a breath and sighed. \u201cEdward sized but don\u2019t worry, Klaus assured me they were just going to take a look. They\u2019re all yours.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat? Already?\u201d She said, almost choking on her lemonade. \u201cI mean\u2026\u201d Hadn\u2019t they just talked to the Volturi? That was a week ago. It made sense that he was already coming for her because he had time to gather a crowd around him who thought the way that he did and that Bella had to \u2018come home\u2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI said, don\u2019t worry. There\u2019s still plenty of time, but make sure you sleep well tonight. No more shenanigans at the bar.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWow, can you sound any more patronizing?\u201d Bella said as she put down her glass and walked to the room she shared with Kol just to avoid Jasper picking up on her emotions which she knew were running wild right now. She was scared. She didn\u2019t feel prepared and she was afraid that if she\u2019d see him again that she\u2019d roll over and submit. She was afraid that she couldn\u2019t stop anyone from hurting Kol even though he was more than capable of protecting himself. What if she\u2019d freeze? What if she\u2019d fuck up? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She knew she didn\u2019t have anything to worry about; her new friends would just continue for her, along side of her. They helped her to get ready for this. This was inevitable, with the Cullens obsession with her and all. The time was here now; she shouldn\u2019t freak out. She was better than that now. It\u2019s what she\u2019d been working on for the last month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Right now, she wanted to remove Jasper\u2019s heart or cut off his head. She didn\u2019t need his meant-to-be-funny remarks and she was still quite angry with him. It was hard to forgive someone who had manipulated you for the better part of two years that seemed to have lasted decades. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She wouldn\u2019t fuck up, she was Bella the kickass witch. Better than Sabrina the teenage witch. She had Kol and his family on her side, she could count on several witches – including Davina – to side with her with this fight as well and they would win. The cold ones weren\u2019t scary. Not one bit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bella took a couple of deep breaths and tried to shake the tension out of her body, only to be disturbed when she heard Jasper cry out in pain quite loudly in the courtyard. Opening the door, she took a look around the corner and saw that Kol was hurting Jasper with some spell and strangely, she liked it. She leaned against the doorframe and just kept watching Kol hurt Jasper some more before he got bored and came towards her, leaving Jasper writhing in agony on the floor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe was being an asshole,\u201d Kol said mockingly apologizing. \u201cHe deserved it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI couldn\u2019t have done it better myself,\u201d she smiled at him and pulled him inside the room. Once the door was closed, she jumped into his arms and kissed him passionately. Kol was going to help her release the tension in her body. What better way to do it than to have sex?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She woke quite late the next day, Kol was already gone, and she felt a little bit guilty. If they were going to fight the Cullens tonight, then she should have been up sooner. It was her fight and instead, Kol let her sleep. She quickly took a shower to freshen up and got into a clean pair of jeans and a tank top before binding her hair with a hair tie. Satisfied that she looked kick-ass enough, she made her way out of the room and headed to the area where she heard everyone discussing things. \u201cMorning,\u201d she greeted everyone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMorning, Cuddles,\u201d Kol got to his feet and softly kissed her. \u201cWe were just talking about what Klaus has discovered last night.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd you couldn\u2019t wake me for that?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWasn\u2019t necessary, it\u2019s not as if I\u2019ve made any progress,\u201d Klaus replied disgruntled. \u201cI offered all of them sanctuary after informing them what was going to happen if they chose to continue with their plan of trying to snatch you. No one came forward.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou want more cold ones?\u201d Bella stammered. \u201cAre you out of your mind?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He shrugged. \u201cIt was worth a try. Indestructible minions are always a plus.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd you\u2019re lucky you all came back alive.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI told them that,\u201d Jasper piped up. \u201cOriginal or not, they could have done some serious damage.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNonsense,\u201d Klaus huffed. \u201cIt was a pleasant, cease-fire conversation. No blood was shed, although they did threaten that if we\u2019d get in their way of getting you back, blood would be spilled.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat did you tell them?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNothing. Just that they will regret coming after you because you do not wish to return to them,\u201d he explained simply. \u201cI have requested though that we\u2019d meet at the docks. I promised Edward and Carlisle to take you there. I want to keep New Orleans in pristine shape and I doubt that once they start barging in, nothing will be safe. We\u2019d have to work around the clock to do damage control with the humans and they don\u2019t want that either. They also hope it won\u2019t come to a fight and want you to come quietly.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLike hell.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat\u2019s the spirit,\u201d Kol grinned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cUntil nightfall, there\u2019s not much else we can do but to go by our normal routine,\u201d Klaus spoke again. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cStupid sparkly leeches,\u201d Bella muttered as she sat down on Kol\u2019s lap. \u201cCan\u2019t we just go to wherever they\u2019re hiding at and kill them all now?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd risk exposing us and risk destroying the city?\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI don\u2019t care.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPatience, little Swan, you will get your chance,\u201d Klaus said with a smile. \u201cBut we\u2019re not going to risk destroying my city.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bella sighed as she picked up a dinner roll from the table and started to nibble on it. She understood the reasons and she understood that battles were won differently. Her dad, a cop, would just go to the criminal\u2019s front door and kick it in to arrest him. He\u2019d shoot without hesitation – thankfully that didn\u2019t happen a lot in Forks, but still. This sucked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYes, let\u2019s go,\u201d Kol said as he lifted Bella off his lap and pulled her with him. He understood her nervousness, the itch to just get it over with, but this also made it a lot more dangerous for her tonight. She needed to unwind. \u201cWe\u2019re going to have some fun. Poke some wolves or something.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBut\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYeah, no buts, Cuddles. Only your butt and I can grab it,\u201d he playfully smacked her bottom as he escorted her off the property. He had wanted to take her to Jackson Square for a while now, sure, they had been there before and looked at the artists, but not really at the area surrounding it as they had been just passing. And other than that, they had been busy with spells and teaching Bella some magic, there was still so much to explore for her. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What better way to explore some of New Orleans than to hire a horse-drawn carriage? It reminded him of the old days, where it was the only way to get around anywhere, really. It had been dull back then to travel like that, but it was fun now, it was sentimental. Ancient. The world changed all the time, but some things still stayed the same and that was beautiful. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She had significantly relaxed once they arrived at Jackson Square and was animated during their ride in a carriage – something Bella thought was amazing and would do it again – and Kol then took her to the 1850 house. While most of the compound had most of the old furniture still from the old days, a lot had been modernized and he wanted to show Bella what it was like to live in the 1800\u2019s. He was, of course, in his coffin around 1850, but it was only 30 years removed from when he had Marcel watch a Shakespeare play, directed by Kol. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bella did not like to hear the story. She thought that it had been plain evil, to subject a young child to something like that. Oh, he didn\u2019t defend himself. It had been wrong of him to do so, but he had loved it. As a vampire, he didn\u2019t care about what was right or wrong, he just wanted to have fun and to torture a young Marcel like that, had been fun. The killing of the players had been satisfying. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, now that he was human, he wouldn\u2019t do something like that anymore. It was harder to get away with something when you\u2019re a vulnerable being and mind-numbingly slow. He assured her, again, that he thoroughly loved being human and would never want to go back living as a vampire. That, if that happened, Bella was going to have to kill him. As they were looking at one of the bedrooms that had a crib in, he made her promise him that she would kill him if his brother turned him again. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

No matter how much Kol didn\u2019t want to be a vampire anymore, there was nothing you could do against Klaus\u2019 whims. Bella promised Kol that she\u2019d kill Klaus first if he\u2019d ever do such a thing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the house, they took a taxi all the way to Elmwood to go to Adventure Quest to ride around in bumper cars, letting off some steam and having fun while trying to catch each other and win the race. They went back home around dinner time and just arrived in time for everything to be plated up. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He sent Bella to their room while he made sure the both of them had sufficiently enough to eat and brought it to her. Having dinner with his siblings would only cause her to get stressed again and he didn\u2019t want that, a fun, relaxed Bella was the way to go for tonight. She needed to have fun when using her magic to destroy the Cullens. She needed to get her revenge in a fun way. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was hard enough to come face to face again with the people who mistreated her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kol knew that he was getting a lot of grief, mostly behind his back, from his siblings. That they hadn\u2019t seen him care so much about someone in a very long time, that it was unlike him. He then reminded them that it was Klaus\u2019 fault in the first place for giving him human babysit duty months ago, but that he was indeed grateful for that. After what happened when he was negotiating with the ancestors when he had died, he felt doomed the moment he realized he\u2019d been resurrected. But as it turned out, he wasn\u2019t. Fuck that, destiny. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am so in trouble, he grinned to himself as he sat at the table and watch Bella push her food around. He had noticed it happen a lot during their day of fun, she was getting stuck in her own head just like she had been getting stuck in her head in Forks all the time. It sucked. Not just for her, but for him as well. It was likely she was extremely worried and nervous, but that really wasn\u2019t the best headspace to enter a fight. It needed to be fun. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fun. Oh, he had an idea and it was wicked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAlright, I can\u2019t take it any longer, seeing you like this,\u201d Kol said as he got to his feet and helped Bella out of her chair. \u201cSunset is in two hours, we\u2019re going to do something exciting until then.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat\u2019s that?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cA way to\u2026\u201d he thought of the other words that needed to follow. \u201cAnnoy certain cold ones even further. Come on, we\u2019ll grab you a sandwich on the way to the docks.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe docks?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt has warehouses.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bella let it sink in for a moment, processed the words in her chaotic mind and then grinned. \u201cLet\u2019s go!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bella had loved the idea of annoying Edward some more by having sex all over the area that Klaus had picked up for their confrontation. She hated it that she had been getting stuck in her mind, it made her feel fickle and annoying. She knew that there was no way that Edward was going to get her back because she didn\u2019t want to go back and she knew how to fight him off now. She had the capabilities to do that. To rip his limbs from his torso without touching him. To set him on fire with just a word. She didn\u2019t have anything to fear. And to feel like a worthless piece of shit was a gigantic step back for her. She wasn\u2019t worthless. She was awesome. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They managed to have quickies on three separate places in the area before one of their magical alarms went off, indicating someone was in the area and they had to stop. Well, not had to. It was proper to stop. Bella wanted to stop while Kol didn\u2019t care who caught them with their pants down. As exciting as it sounded, she really didn\u2019t want to have his siblings stumble upon them, even though they had to suffer through them having sex on an almost daily basis. Vampire hearing and all that. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And instead of feeling tired, she felt energized. Bella felt hyper and ready to kick ass. She honestly didn\u2019t deserve someone like Kol; he was amazing and she hoped that she won\u2019t ever get into a funk again after they showed them what they were made of. She was on the cusp of full freedom and she was desperate to take it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instead of finding Klaus or one of their group, it was Edward. Just Edward. No one else. Part of Bella felt relieved, but another part quite annoyed because it was just Edward. He had stopped a little ahead of them, mostly because out of instinct, Bella had put up the magical shield she had been taught by Davina to physically hold off people instead of just her own personal mental shielding. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Edward didn\u2019t seem too phased by it. He took on a relaxed stance and put his hands in his pockets. He was making an effort to look flawless, relaxed and perfect, but he wasn\u2019t. After the effects of Jasper\u2019s manipulating had worn off and the drugs had been out of her system, she knew that she had always seen something ugly bubbling underneath when she looked at Edward. She had just been too stupid to fall for his charms. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHello, Bella,\u201d he greeted her with his smooth as velvet voice. He appeared calm and she didn\u2019t need Jasper\u2019s gift to tell her that he was angry underneath it all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFuckward,\u201d she greeted him back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Edward visibly sighed. It was that an eye roll was beneath him, but Bella would have loved to see that. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m not coming back with you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI know.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThen why are you here?\u201d Bella was confused, surely he knew that he signed up for his own death by coming here, hadn\u2019t he experienced the strength of Rebekah when she took Rosalie apart? \u201cAnd alone?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m not alone. In fact, your friends are keeping mine detained until we\u2019ve talked and I have just one question for you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All he wanted was to ask something? She\u2019d rather kill him now she had the chance, now that he was alone. Just seeing his face made her angry, she could feel it in her bones. Bella looked up to Kol for a moment, slightly confused before looking back at Edward. If anything, if he wanted to make an ass out of himself, this was the right moment. This was going to be good. \u201cOkay?\u201d she said a little bit unsure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI have to admit that the way we treated you has been less than honorable,\u201d he started as he shifted his stance a little. \u201cIt\u2019s true, Carlisle is fascinated by anomalies in humans and while I found you interesting at first glance because I couldn\u2019t hear your thoughts, Carlisle insisted that you were the one for me, and you were.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kol scoffed and Bella stepped on his foot to shut him up. \u201cLet\u2019s hear him out,\u201d she said softly. \u201cThis ought to be good. Grab the popcorn.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Edward let out a frustrated whine, breaking his oh so perfect appearance. He sounded like a small child, this was fun. \u201cYes, we knew you were special and we wanted to covet you. It\u2019s also the reason why I was apprehensive about turning you as there\u2019s always a chance that a special ability doesn\u2019t turn along. Yes, we manipulated you with drugs and Jasper\u2019s ability. But,\u201d he said, almost with a glimmer of hope, that what he was going to say next was going to be the one thing that would bring her back to him. \u201cYour new friends. Are you sure that they aren\u2019t just using you for what you can do? I mean, you were in his arms in a blink of an eye. Alice has had dealings with your friends in the past and all they wanted was power.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOh, you have no idea what I can do, haven\u2019t you?\u201d Bella let out a laugh. \u201cI\u2019m surprised the Volturi didn\u2019t inform you.\u201d Yes, it had been predictable and a cheap attempt of trying to screw with her mind at that.  \u201cDid you see Jasper and Peter on your way over? You must have detected a certain change\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat does their fragile condition have to do with anything?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI got this, Cuddles,\u201d Kol smirked as he put his hands on her shoulders and gently squeezed them. \u201cIt takes an enormous amount of magic to turn you cold ones into normal vampires.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI picked up thoughts about Bella being a witch, Kol. That\u2019s simply not true.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cActually, it is. She\u2019s responsible for their transformation. That shield that\u2019s stopping you from coming for us? That\u2019s her too.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Edward huffed. \u201cImpossible.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bella extended her shield outward by force, sending Edward flying several feet through the air. She didn\u2019t bother putting it back up again, she, or Kol, could easily dismantle him without any effort. \u201cIf anything, Edward, my new friends have showed me who I am. What I am. They helped me and there\u2019s no doubt that Klaus loves it that there\u2019s another witch in town who\u2019s on his side. However, unlike you, he allows me to be my own person. They\u2019re all decent people and they\u2019re honest with me.\u201d Edward was up and right in front of them within a blink of an eye, but she reached out with her hand and imagined it being around his throat to stop him. She had tried this on Marcel a few times, and he didn\u2019t feel as strong as Edward did right now. \u201cI sure hope you\u2019re done talking,\u201d she said as she focused to hold him in place and started to tug on his arm with her other hand, attempting to separate it from his torso.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBella, don\u2019t,\u201d Edward struggled as he tried to free himself from her hold. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI think you should get Klaus here with everyone else. Have them all see this,\u201d Bella told Kol with a big smile on her face. \u201cI\u2019m ready.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBella\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEnough with the talking, Edward!\u201d Bella shot at him before throwing him into a wall of lead pipes before pulling him back towards them. Sure, those pipes wouldn\u2019t hurt him, but it made her feel slightly better. \u201cI\u2019ve had enough of you. I came here to be left alone and yet you\u2019re here trying to change my mind? Again? Seriously?\u201d She said angrily and the moment she saw some movement next to the other warehouse, she used her magic to tear off his right arm as if it was a piece of paper. There was some fighting going on at the back, but she didn\u2019t care. The sound of metal grating against metal sounded like music to her ears. When he cried out in agony, she just smiled. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kol quickly froze all the cold ones in their places as they were advancing quite quickly after having burst through their defenses and he wanted Bella to get all her revenge, but right now she seemed extremely distracted with Edward. She had been dreading this all day, he knew that, but now it was here, she was thoroughly enjoying herself. And kinda hot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBella, stop!\u201d Carlisle cried out. \u201cYou\u2019re going to kill him!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat\u2019s my intention,\u201d she said as she ripped off Edward\u2019s leg. \u201cIt\u2019s only fair. You mistreated me, you came after me and now you\u2019re here. You\u2019re all dead.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis is almost too easy!\u201d Klaus called from the back of the pack. He sounded excited, happy to go on a killing spree – this was so Klaus, Kol thought. \u201cI don\u2019t know why they showed up, really, they\u2019re so easy to kill!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fun part of taking Edward slowly apart was that he was still alive. The venom was pooling around his feet, leaking out of the orifices that got left after she ripped off his limbs. She could have gone the easy way out and simply set him on fire, but she took pleasure in this. Bella looked over her shoulder to Kol with a big smile on her face. \u201cAlice is yours if you want.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI think she should be Jasper\u2019s. The guy deserves it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI like your thinking,\u201d she said with a nod. \u201cJazz!\u201d She called out to him and he was by her side within seconds. \u201cLook! I\u2019m making art with venom!\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat\u2019s pretty,\u201d he said with a grin. \u201cWell done Bella, you deserve it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cUhuh, why don\u2019t you take Alice? You deserve that.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The look on Jasper\u2019s face changed, he had been killing Cold Ones without getting really worked up and getting his vampire face on, but the thought of killing the one he was forced to love for so long, was making him hungry. \u201cIf you say so,\u201d he said as he made his way over to Alice and snapped her neck as if she was a twig. Even though he was still a vampire, the venom of the Cold Ones could hurt him now because his skin was flesh and not impervious. When Alice dropped to the floor, he didn\u2019t hesitate and planted his boot in the middle of her torso, creating a hole where he dropped her head in and then set her on fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou fucking traitor,\u201d Emmett spat, he had been standing close to Alice and when she dropped, her prison fell away and so did his. Without something holding him back, he jumped on Jasper and ripped out his heart. Jasper\u2019s body created a thud on the floor and Bella dropped Edward to turn her attention to Emmett. \u201cThere. Much better.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou fucking asshole!\u201d Bella breezed as she stepped over Edward, who was writhing on the floor in agony, as she shot spells at Emmett to take him down as soon as she could because he could do more damage than any other cold one in the field and once he was on the ground, she verbally cast a spell to tear him in half before setting him on fire. \u201cHe was doing better! And you killed him!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She then turned to Carlisle, who was looking at the scenes before him in shock. \u201cYou don\u2019t deserve any leniency, Carlisle. You\u2019re one fucked up person who clearly isn\u2019t cut out for family life.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBella, I\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo,\u201d she said resolutely before she stepped back over Edward and magically lifted him off the floor again. \u201cKol, he\u2019s all yours,\u201d she said as she nodded to Carlisle as she ripped off Edward\u2019s other arm. Would it be possible to actually skin Edward? Would his skin give way? Was that going too far? She ripped off his remaining leg and all that was holding him up right now was her magic. \u201cYou look a little pale, Edward.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not too late to stop,\u201d he spluttered. \u201cPlease.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDid you stop when I asked you to?\u201d She countered as she thought of a way to hurt him even further. Oh, she could definitely do that!  She muttered the spell that she and Kol used on each other when in the privacy of their own room and saw Edward\u2019s clothes disappear with tiny sparkles. \u201cOh my god, you\u2019re ugly.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cStop, please, you\u2019ve had your fun.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo. I have not,\u201d she said as she reached out her hand to envision his penis and balls and yanked them off of him, playfully discarding them on the pile of limbs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cRemind me not to piss you off, Cuddles,\u201d Kol said huskily. He was so turned on right now! He had to admit, once Bella had gotten over her fear, she was fearless. She\u2019d make a great vampire. Seeing Bella like this was hot. He was definitely going to have sex with her again after this was all over. Celebratory sex. Well deserved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHow does it feel, Edward, to be taken apart? To see what makes someone tick?\u201d She asked as she envisioned gripping part of his exposed skin and ripped it off in a strip, the noise deafening. \u201cHow does it feel not being able to stop me?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis isn\u2019t you,\u201d he panted. \u201cPlease\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe more you beg, the longer this will continue,\u201d she replied evenly as she pulled off another strip of his skin. There was nothing human about him on the inside anymore. It was all somewhat glued together or something. It was disturbing. \u201cOh gross,\u201d she shuddered as she ripped off another piece of skin. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

By the time she had stripped him off all skin, Klaus and the other vampires, wolves, and witches had disposed of most of the Cold Ones, apart from a handful who had made a sharp right turn and had disappeared, scared out of their wits and Klaus was admiring her handiwork. \u201cYou look tired, love.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI feel a little spent, yes,\u201d she replied as she was leaning against Kol for support. The spell to turn Jasper and Peter into regular vampires had been easy compared to focussing for this long, for how long had she been at this? But she didn\u2019t want to quit. She wanted to have Edward feel what it felt like to be exposed like she had been, what it felt like to be unable to do something, but there wasn\u2019t much left of him for her to take apart other than to tear his head off and set the pile of Edward on fire. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been a long day, you\u2019ve done well,\u201d Klaus said calmly, proud of his brother\u2019s little witch. \u201cIt\u2019s time to end it now. He\u2019s the last one.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bella nodded as she took a deep breath. She focused on Edward and snapped off his head before throwing his remains onto one pile and cast a spell to light him on fire. It was over. It was finally over. She was free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kol caught her just as she collapsed against him and scooped her up in his arms, holding her close. \u201cWell done, Cuddles,\u201d he said as he kissed the top of her head. \u201cLet\u2019s get you home.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m free,\u201d she said with a giggle and put her arms around his neck. \u201cI\u2019m free!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYes, you are. Just don\u2019t leave me, okay?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNever.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They had fallen asleep the moment they hit the bed the night after the confrontation, both too tired to have celebratory sex. Well, Kol wasn\u2019t, but he didn\u2019t want to force himself upon Bella. All the tension, worries and stress she had endured because of the Cullens had escaped her, she was really free now and he noticed that while she slept. She stopped kicking and hitting him in her sleep. Not that she did that a lot, and he gladly took the abuse because she didn\u2019t hit him that hard and it was adorable, but it was noticeably absent this night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He decided to surprise her with breakfast in bed with her favorite pastries and some fresh orange juice but by the time he returned, she was out of bed and in the bathroom. \u201cHey, that\u2019s not fair, I got you breakfast in bed!\u201d He complained as he set the tray on the bed and went to join her. His naked goddess was taking a soak in the tub and she had the biggest smile on her face. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m sorry,\u201d she apologized. \u201cI hadn\u2019t planned on leaving the bed, really, but Jake called and then I had to pee.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWell, then I\u2019m joining you,\u201d Kol shrugged as he started to get out of his shirt and sweatpants. \u201cWhy did Jake call?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTo warn me that the Cullens were nowhere to be seen.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnd what did you say?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat we kicked their butt,\u201d she giggled as Kol slipped behind her into the tub. \u201cAnd that they can stop being all wolfie and get on with their lives.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGreat advice,\u201d he said as he started to kiss her neck. \u201cReady to get on with yours?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHmm\u2026\u201d Bella sighed as she closed her eyes and leaned into him, his arms firmly around her to prevent her from slipping. \u201cI thought I was already doing that?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYes, but now you can move on completely because you\u2019ve been able to deal with your past. Not everyone gets a chance to do that, to make a clean break and move on.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTrue,\u201d she grinned and then was quiet for a moment as she thought about it a little. \u201cI want to find a j—\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo. The j-word and the w-word are forbidden.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bella laughed and splashed some water in his face. \u201cCan you let me finish?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSure, without using the j-word or the w-word.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She huffed. \u201cFine. I want to find a place of employment so I can get some money and then maybe, we could go to Walt Disney World?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kol laughed and playfully bit her shoulder. Smartass. \u201cFirst of, you don\u2019t need to find a place of employment. Secondly\u2026 Disney World? Is that the best you can do? I was thinking about showing you every nook and cranny of Europe.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She turned around to sit on her knees and put her arms around his neck. \u201cYes. Disney World. You know why? It\u2019s the ultimate place of happiness, isn\u2019t it? I\u2019ve been wanting to go ever since I was a little girl and I know it\u2019s really girly of me to want to go there. However, if you don\u2019t want to come with, I can completely understand.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI think your definition of happiness is a little skewed, my darling,\u201d he said and softly kissed her lips. \u201cHappiness is more than just Disney, rainbows and unicorns. For example, I\u2019ve never been happier in my life now you\u2019re in it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSo am I,\u201d she smiled at him. \u201cOkay, fine,\u201d she sighed. \u201cSee it as a celebration for us. Start of something new.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNow, see? I can get behind that.\u201d He tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear. \u201cI can understand your reasoning for independence and needing money to do so, but why not focus all that energy in living life to the fullest? Have the time of our lives doing whatever the hell we want? You and me. Not a care in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBut\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He shut her up by kissing her. \u201cNot a care in the world. Screw being responsible. Life\u2019s too short to be responsible.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She let out a deep sigh and kissed him eagerly as she pressed herself against him. \u201cWhy the hell not\u2026\u201d she said as she kept kissing him. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After making out in the tub for a while, the water had significantly cooled off and he decided to take this to the bedroom. Just about as they were hitting the bed, someone knocked on their door. \u201cGo away, we\u2019re busy!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI can hear that, but I need to talk to Bella,\u201d Peter\u2019s voice sounded. \u201cSince you two are planning on leaving tonight, I think it\u2019s important.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are?\u201d Bella giggled as she looked at Kol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYeah, why not?\u201d He replied with a shrug before putting her down on the bed and opened the door, not bothering to get any clothes on for two reasons; one, he didn\u2019t care and two, Peter was disturbing them and knew exactly what he was getting himself into. Kol looked over his shoulder and saw that Bella hadn\u2019t made an attempt of covering herself up either, apart from her nether regions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She did, however, manage to kick the breakfast tray off the bed, pastries and orange juice was everywhere. \u201cOops,\u201d she smirked as she looked at him. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cExcuse me,\u201d Peter apologized as he entered the room. \u201cSorry to interrupt, but Klaus sent me on an errand and I doubt I\u2019ll be back before you two leave.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s fine,\u201d Bella sighed after a moment of thought. Carefree meant not giving a fuck, right? Well, she was trying! \u201cWhat\u2019s up?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOh, I don\u2019t know where to begin or how to spin it without angering you so, I\u2019ll just say it and you can do with the information whatever you want, okay?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bella nodded as she hugged her knees to her chest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAlright. Jasper was proud of you. He loved the person who you\u2019ve become and even though you don\u2019t have to worry about anything at the moment because you\u2019re with Kol, he wanted to make sure that you wouldn\u2019t be left out in the cold if things would go badly between you two,\u201d Peter said, holding out his hands defensively. \u201cDon\u2019t get mad, it\u2019s just because you\u2019re both still young and you have a long life ahead of you, okay? Relationships end, no matter how good they feel or how much you love each other.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo, it\u2019s okay,\u201d Bella smiled at Peter as she rested her chin on her knees. \u201cJasper liked to be practical and well prepared.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe also considered you to be his heir. And he knew that you two weren\u2019t as close as you used to be and that was his fault entirely, but still, he cared.\u201d He handed her the folder with the paperwork. \u201cThis is your bank account now. Enough to have you be independent, comfortable and set up for the rest of your life. Do with it as you wish.\u201d He tapped the folder and smiled. \u201cHe wanted to give you this himself, but yeah. Life had other plans.\u201d Peter straightened himself and nodded. \u201cOnce again, I\u2019m sorry for interrupting you guys, but I have to go and take care of something for Klaus. He\u2019s given me a daylight ring, it\u2019s so nice not to sparkle!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bella laughed. \u201cHave fun and thank you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou\u2019re welcome. Don\u2019t be a stranger, okay? Send a card every once in a while.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She nodded and watched Peter leave their room again. She put the folder aside and pulled Kol closer to her. \u201cWhere were we?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo, no, no,\u201d Kol snorted as he pushed her down to the bed and reached for the folder. \u201cYou need to read this. Aren\u2019t you the least bit curious?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou are,\u201d she grinned as she swatted his hand away from the folder and rolled him over so she could sit on top of him. \u201cWhat happened to not having a care in the world, mr. Mikaelson?\u201d Bella said as she pinned his arms down next to him. \u201cDoesn\u2019t that involve welcoming surprises?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYeah, but\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bella shrugged as she continued to trail kisses all over his torso, neck and jaw. \u201cWe could prove him wrong and leave tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOr this afternoon,\u201d Kol laughed as he started to wrestle himself out of Bella\u2019s hold and flopped her onto the bed when he was successful. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat\u2019s a little too crazy,\u201d she snorted as she started to tickle him, screaming when he started to tickle her. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIs it?\u201d he said, pinning her down to the bed and hovered over her. \u201cIt\u2019s almost a nine-hour drive, I doubt we can get plane tickets. Imagine this, having sex in the Disney World hotel\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDon\u2019t tempt me,\u201d Bella groaned as she looked at him. She couldn\u2019t believe the look on his face, the look of determination and lust. \u201cYou\u2019re serious.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
